Brian A. Parsons, 44, a life-long resident of De Leon, Texas, passed from this life February 7, 2026. He was born November 20, 1981, in Temple, Texas to Wayne Truett Parsons, II, and Mary Margaret Williamson Parsons.

Brian was raised in De Leon and graduated with the class of 2000. He briefly attended Ranger College and then enlisted in the United States Army. He proudly served a tour in Iraq from which he received many service medals in recognition of his bravery. Brian was most recently employed as a cheese wrapper operator for Schreiber Foods in Stephenville.

He enjoyed many hobbies including golfing, fishing, and ghost hunting. He loved technology and computers. His greatest joy in life was his son, Jacob, and he was so incredibly proud of him. Brian was a light to many, and he will be missed beyond measure.

He is survived by his son, Jacob Parsons; father, Wayne Parsons II; sister, Karen Wilkerson; grandmother, LaVelle Parsons; aunt, LaVerne Dillahsaw; uncle, Gary Parsons; nephews, Wesley Wilkerson-Spence (Glen), Landon Wilkerson (Kenna), Christopher Young (Laura); and other extended family. Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Parsons; grandfather, Wayne Parsons; grandparents, Wayne and Lila Williamson.

The Parsons family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, February 13, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in Indian Creek Cemetery with Ben Rowell officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Landon Wilkerson, Chris Young, Wesley Wilkerson-Spence, Nicky Don Wilkerson, and Jeffery Grumbles.

Randell Lee Mull, 82, passed away February 3, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 22, 1943, in Gorman, Texas to Robert Lee Mull and Earlene Dale Horton Mull. Randell married his loving wife, Joyce Jeanette Boerner, on October 6, 1977, at her home in Proctor, Texas.

Randell was a lifelong resident of Comanche County other than the twenty years that he was employed in Waco as a property manager for HGS. He was also self employed as a peanut farmer and rancher, a calling he loved dearly. His horses were a great joy in his life, and his second love following his family. Randell was very active in the community and volunteered in various organizations. He was active with the American Quarter Horse Association, American Simmental Simbrah Association, Texas Farm Bureau, Comanche Roping Club, Proctor Roping Club, and always served as a 4H Leader. Randell was honored as the Grand Marshal of Comanche in 2007. He was a Baptist and loved the Lord. Randell was a devoted and loving husband, a wonderful dad and granddad, and a special friend to many. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Mull; son, Lee Mull (Casondra); daughters, Randa Schwertner (Matt) and Edna Elliott; grandchildren, C**t Schwertner, Erik Elliott (Danielle); Meranda Easter (Daniel), Athena Mull, Katlyn Campbell (Cliffton), and Tracy Schwertner; and other extended family.

Randell has been reunited with his parents; great-granddaughter, Darla Jane Campbell; and parents-in-law, Walter and Edna Boerner.

The Mull family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 1-2:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home. Funeral services celebrating Randell’s life will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Ken Lunsford officiating. Graveside committal will follow in Zion Hill Cemetery.

Connor Noel Weaver, II, 82 passed peacefully from this life February 1, 2026. He was born August 30,1943, in Gorman, Texas to Connor “Buck” Weaver and Ruby Clara McCullough Weaver. Noel married his devoted wife, Sarah Ann Mull, July 24, 1965.

Noel was raised in De Leon and graduated with the class of 1961. After high school, Noel immediately enlisted into the United States Army. He retired from Clark Tractor after thirty years of dedicated service as their parts manager. Noel loved his customers and the opportunity his rewarding career gave him to meet new people. Noel loved to spend time outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He also loved a good old fashioned fish fry and all the family trips to the lake that he made a priority throughout the years. His family was his greatest joy in life, and he was his happiest while supporting them all in their activities. After his stroke in 2007, Noel couldn’t do as much as he wanted to do, but he always looked forward to family birthday cookouts, and holiday celebrations, especially Christmas, Easter, and July 4th. Noel was a loving husband, attentive dad, special granddad, and loyal friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves behind a loving legacy in his family: survived by his wife, Sarah; son, Brian Weaver; daughters, Kristal Stovall (Samson), Erika Bostic (Robert); grandchildren, Ty Weaver, Bralyn Weaver, Hanna Speers (Mark), Chloe Stovall, Kadyn Bostic, Connor Bostic and Keegan Bostic; great-grandsons, Jhett Weaver and Jax Weaver; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Noel has been reunited with his parents; step-father, Luther Burdell; and brothers, Bobby Neil Weaver and Richard Kevin Weaver.

Barbara Ann Chambers Bass, 83, of Westbrook, Texas, peacefully passed from this life January 30, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 8, 1942, in Arlington, Texas to Clyde M. Chambers and Ruby Ragland Chambers.

Barbara was raised in Westbrook, Texas and attended Westbrook High School. She retired from Westbrook ISD where she was employed in food service. She was a long-time member of Westbrook Baptist Church and happily cooked for the youth there many years. Barbara loved to travel. She went on many trips to Brazil for missionary work and enjoyed travelling with the Baptist Church Builders. Barbara was a faithful servant to God and allowed Him to use her life in service of others. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, special grandmother, and caring friend to many. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Calloway (Bobby), Angie Hightower (Farris) and Judy Lambard (Bruce); siblings, Vickie Koch (Rick), Robert Chambers (Christine), and Judy Hale; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Bass; son, Gary Gene Parrish, Jr., parents, Clyde and Ruby Chambers; granddaughter, Stacey Kneupper; and brother-in-law, Donnie Hale.

Graveside funeral services celebrating Barbara’s life will be held Friday, February 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in Westbrook Cemetery, Westbrook, Texas, with Minister Robert Chambers officiating.

Kathryn Hugg, 78, passed peacefully from this life on January 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 25, 1947, in De Leon, Texas, to Tomas L. Morgan and Pauline Beck Morgan.

Kathryn graduated from De Leon High School, Class of 1966. She later moved to Fort Worth, where she met her husband, William Hugg. Together they welcomed two children before returning to De Leon, which they proudly called home.

Kathryn found joy in the simple things in life. She loved sitting out in the sun and had a soft heart for animals, especially the many cats she fostered that happened across her lawn.

Throughout the years, Kathryn held many jobs, including several years at the De Leon Clinic, where she formed lifelong friendships that she treasured dearly. Her favorite role, however, was being a Nana. She was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom cherished her deeply and would argue that she was the best nana in the world.

Kathryn is survived by her son, Brandon Hugg; grandchildren, Taylor Riffe and wife, Kristen, Haylee Barnett and husband, Donivine, Ireland Cleere and husband, Brent, Liberty Hugg, and Hayden and Grayson Shields. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Paisley, Ellie, Britten, Brooks, Hayes, and Billie; her niece, Kristen Morgan; and other extended family.

Kathryn is preceded in death by her husband, William; her parents, Tomas and Pauline; her brother, Charles Morgan, and his wife, Joan; and her daughter, Jennifer Shields.

Kathryn “Nana” will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and compassion. She will be deeply missed, and her memory will live on in the love she gave so freely and in the lives of those who were blessed to know her.

The Hugg family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 2-3:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home. Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. in De Leon Cemetery with Minister Lowell Ercanbrack officiating.

Don Holdridge, 73, passed from this life January 20, 2026, at his home. He was born June 29, 1952, in Ft. Worth, Texas to Fred Holdridge and Merle Huddleson Holdridge. Don married his loving wife of forty years, Joni Hooks, April 26, 1985.

Don was raised in De Leon and graduated with the class of 1970. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from The University of Texas Permian Basin. He was a long-time convenience store manager for Kent Kwik and after retiring from that career in Odessa, he and Joni moved back home to De Leon in 2015. Don loved all things history. He loved to study all eras of history and was a dedicated board member of the De Leon Historical Society for many years. Don was a faithful Dallas Cowboy and Texas Ranger fan always. He enjoyed music and was active in the band and choir. Don was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, a good neighbor, and a loyal friend to many. He will be missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Joni; daughters, Bernadette Thornton and husband, Matt, and Tori Marshall and husband, Rob; son, Derek Holdridge and wife Amanda; grandchildren, Abby Holdridge, Taylor Holdridge, Lily Marshall, Hayley Thornton, Freya Thornton, Jacob Holdridge and Kash Holdridge; two great-grandchildren; and other extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents.

(November 24, 1952 – December 30, 2025)

Deborah Lee passed away on December 30, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on November 24, 1952, in Gorman, Texas, she was the beloved daughter of the late Euel and Jean Westmoreland.

She is now reunited in eternal peace with her husband, Bob, and her parents.

Deborah’s memory will be cherished by her surviving family: her sons, Trey and Jesse; her daughters-in-law, Karin and Amber; and her adoring grandchildren, Gwendolyn and Theodore.

Deborah will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and the passions that brought her joy. She was a devoted fan of the Texas Rangers, rarely missing a chance to cheer them on, and she had a well-known love for all things Coca-Cola.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. Joe Baptist Church in De Leon, Texas, with Brother Matt Morton officiating. Deborah's family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Gorman.

Carey “Don” Wilkerson, 84, left this world to join the Lord on the evening of January 20th, 2026, surrounded by the love and support of his family. Carey Don was born August 13, 1941, in Gorman, Texas to Riley and Mamie Wilkerson.

He grew up in Downing, Texas where he was a member of Downing Baptist Church. Carey Don was an accomplished landscaper, carpenter and musician. He enjoyed playing music, such as Bluegrass and Gospel with family and friends. He was no stranger to hard-work and loved being outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Sue Wilkerson; son, Jeffery Don Wilkerson; great-granddaughter, Maicynn Jane Julian; mother and father, Riley and Mamie Wilkerson; and two sisters, Cutie Johnson and Blanche Rutledge.

He leaves behind a daughter, Tracey Lynn Wilkerson of Anna, Texas; five grandchildren, Amanda Kaczor of Johnstown, N.Y., Corey James Kaczor of Johnstown, N.Y., Shelby Renee Julian and husband, Andrew D***s, of Anna, Texas, Micheal Wilkerson of Saginaw, Randell Wilkerson and wife, Ameera, of Saginaw, Texas; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and brothers, Bill Wilkerson, Bob Wilkerson, and Jack Wilkerson.

Carolyn was raised in Desdemona and graduated from De Leon High School in 1987. She was a helpful homemaker for her parents and loved her family very much. Carolyn also dearly loved her cats. She will be missed beyond measure by all she knew and loved.

She is survived by her parents, Donald and Wilma Holder; son, Michael Ray Phelps; brother, Donald Wayne Holder and wife, Stephanie; sister, Sherry Lynn Ables; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Carolyn has been reunited with her grandmother, Doris Wilma Huston Martin.
