After four years of extraordinary service, Dr. Roy Byrd will be leaving AccelHealth and transitioning to full-time hospital medicine effective April 17, 2026. While we are excited for Dr. Byrd as he begins this new chapter, we know his departure is bittersweet for the many patients whose lives he has touched.
As he will be closing his outpatient practice, we want to ensure a smooth transition of your care. AccelHealth has a team of qualified clinicians available and ready to serve as your new Primary Care Provider (P*P).
If you would like to establish care with one of our clinicians, please contact our office at 325-646-3900. Should you decide to seek care elsewhere, a Medical Records Release Form will be provided upon request.
Please join us in wishing Dr. Byrd the very best in his continued medical career. Our team remains committed to supporting you and meeting your healthcare needs during this transition.

February is American Heart Month ❤️

Community Health Centers are delivering evidence-based heart care at scale, improving outcomes for millions of patients at risk for cardiovascular disease.

📊 In 2024:

✅ 6.17 million Community Health Center patients received care for hypertension
✅ 67% of those patients had their blood pressure under control

Community Health Centers deliver proven preventive and follow-up care for patients at highest risk:

✅ 78% of high-risk patients were prescribed or taking statin therapy
✅ 74% of adult Community Health Center patients with heart disease, a history of heart attack, or prior cardiac procedures were receiving recommended antiplatelet therapy.

These numbers tell a clear story – Community Health Centers don’t just treat heart disease; they help prevent it, manage it, and reduce the risk of future cardiac events.

This , we’re recognizing the vital role Community Health Centers play in protecting heart health nationwide.

With sincere care for our patients and community, we want to share an important update regarding our dental services. Due to the departure of Dr. Koro, we will not have a dentist available after February 6, 2026.

We know this news is deeply disappointing, and we are truly sorry for the uncertainty and concern this may cause. Please know this process is still underway, and our team is actively exploring options to help patients identify affordable dental care alternatives and plan for continued access to services.

In the meantime, patients may search for other Federally Qualified Health Centers offering dental services in our area at:
