Meet Dr. Kayla!
Dr. Kayla Komarec is originally from Kenosha, Wisconsin. She attended UW-Green Bay and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology with an Exercise Science emphasis. From there she went on to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa to receive her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree. During her last trimester of graduate school, she was able to complete her internship right here at Van Drisse Chiropractic Center.
Dr. Kayla always knew she wanted to help people in the health care field. Throughout high school, she suffered injuries in the sports of cheerleading and volleyball which required rehab appointments with a Physical Therapist. She became interested in the field, however during her undergrad years, she started as a patient at Van Drisse Chiropractic Center where she received her very first adjustment. She had a profound change of heart; She never knew the true impact chiropractic care could have on her health until she experienced it firsthand.
Although she looks forward to serving everyone in her community, she plans on focusing on prenatal, pediatric, and family wellness care. A few of her interests include treating for scoliosis, sports injuries, and helping babies with sleep issues, colic, ear aches, reflux/digestion issues, allergies, ADHD, and bedwetting (to name a few). She also is interested in helping expecting mothers realize the benefits of chiropractic care during pregnancy β reduction of nausea, improving posture while reducing joint and muscle pain, pelvic alignments for allowing optimal room for baby to grow, and easier labor and delivery. She provides a thorough examination and utilizes hands-on methods of care, like the Palmer Package (Thompson, Diversified, and Gonstead techniques) as well as the Webster technique and Activator.
When she has spare time, she enjoys spending it with her parents, twin brother, and friends as well as her two cats. She also enjoys the outdoors, playing her flute, watching the Green Bay Packers, and volunteering to help with UW Green Bayβs cheer team practices.
