🌟 May Feature Family: Meet Sisters Gemma and Mylah! 🌟
We’re excited to kick off a new year and a new initiative—highlighting one of our wonderful EE families each month so we can all get to know each other a little better.

Say hello to, not one, but TWO, fantastic kiddos- sisters Gemma and Mylah!

✨ A bit about Gemma
Gemma is 6 years old and loves to dance! She is in an adaptive dance class this year and is excited for her first recital. Gemma has been receiving hippotherapy services for over 4 years now! 🐴 She loves chatting with Ms. Anna and the volunteers while she’s on the horse. Her favorite horse is Tia and it’s always a special day when she gets to ride her.

✨ A bit about Mylah
Mylah is 4 and is very athletic. Her favorite sport is baseball and she’s convinced she’s going to play with her big brother on his high school baseball team! ⚾️A little bit newer to the game, Mylah started her hippotherapy journey in 2024. Her favorite part of therapy is yelling, “Walk on” (sometimes too loudly).

❤️ When asked why EE matters, here’s what Mom had to say:

“Hippotherapy has helped not only with the girls’ balance, visual motor skills, and core strengthening, but also with their confidence and social skills. They love telling friends, family, and even strangers about “their horses”. As parents, we appreciate the connections we make with other parents who understand what life is like to raise children with special needs. It takes a village to raise a child and when you raise children with special needs, you need to make your own village. Exceptional Equestrians is the perfect place to start building your village!”

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves- and boy, are we happy to have Gemma and Mylah as part of our village! 🥰

Our Freedom students had so much fun making some “hand-picked” Mother’s Day bouquets during their ride yesterday- never a dull moment with this crew!
