You can treat yourself! This might mean buying an item you have wanted for a while, visiting a place you have not had time to visit, indulging in your favorite dessert, or just taking time for yourself. Whatever you choose, treating yourself can boost your mood.

Pace yourself if choosing to use alcohol or drugs. Though you might feel a temporary numbing effect – your feeling of “the blues” will be there when you come down. Choose instead to address those feelings with a counselor or try logging in to Togetherall.

We always have a to do list ready to go Instead, take some time to make other kids of lists.
-Create a playlist of your favorite songs that make you happy.
-Make a list of supportive people you feel comfortable reaching out to so you do not fall into the “nobody cares about me” pit.
-Look at the Rec classes and make a list of ones you're interested in trying out (then actually go!).
-Write down your favorite words of affirmation and put them somewhere where you'll see them (pro tip: use a sticky note on your mirror).
-Create a list of accomplishments you can remind yourself of.

You will not feel energized to complete all the tasks in front of you if you
are tired. So, avoid sacrificing sleep. While you may have more on your to-do list than usual, rest should be at the top of the list. Sleep is restorative, and your body repairs itself from the damage of stress, physical strain, infection, and pollutants. Consider:
• maintaining a consistent sleep-wake schedule.
• exercising every day.
• avoiding naps close to bedtime.
• avoiding electronics, alcohol, and large meals before bedtime.
• sleeping in a dark, quiet, cool, and comfortable environment.
