$200/$850 + paid towards training with Dr.Stu!

All proceeds will go to help pay for this training and help support the other attendees.

Breach birth can be an option if:

1) Estimated fetal weight between 2500 and 4000 grams

2) Frank or Complete Breech Presentation

3) An adequate maternal pelvis (formerly measured by x-ray but can be assessed by exam and is a subjective sizing of the opening of the bony structures of the pelvis)

4) Baby’s head must be flexed and not extended

5) No fetal abnormalities

6) 37 - 42 weeks

7) Spontaneous labor and a reassuring fetal heart rate.

8) Right mental “stuff”, meaning trust in your body and the process

An incredible opportunity has come up in Texas to attend a twin/breech training by Dr. Stuart Fischbein. If you know you know. Dr. Stu is an incredible asset to the community midwifery world. He is an advocate for physiological birth and retraining providers to reduce trauma and violence in the birth space.

The training is $850 with a portion of that as a down payment to secure my spot. That does not include travel, lodging, and food.

Why is this important?
1. Breech and twin birth require knowledgeable and skilled attendants.
2. Louisiana and Arkansas rank 51st and 47th according to the March of Dimes report card.
3. Breech and twin birth is a variation of normal and deserves to be cared for by CONFIDENT and capable providers.

Exciting News & Important Update!

I will be taking maternity leave starting June 1st and will not be attending births during this time. However, I’m still here to support you in other ways! I will continue offering:

I've been a doula for a while now, but as of last night I am officially certified with Madriella.

In most places you don't have to have a certification, but with policies and legislation changing that might not be the case in our future.

Nothing has changed except I that I expanded my knowledge! We are always learning. I am grateful for the dedication that Madriella pours into making doula work accessible and affordable.
