True Therapy Services is so proud to have sponsored an amazing event this past weekend! Chaos Soccer Club hosted their annual Terror Island Tournament. It was a fun filled weekend where kids from all over came to compete, work as a team and create memories!

Our practice will grow with intention—expanding services and reach while staying grounded in the values that make our community feel personal, supportive, and connected. Growth will come through thoughtful additions to our team, ensuring each new clinician shares our commitment to compassion, collaboration, and individualized care.

We’ll nurture a culture where clients never feel like “just another appointment.” By maintaining small caseloads, consistent communication, and genuine relationships, we’ll preserve the warmth and trust that define our practice.

As we expand—whether through new specialties, workshops, or partnerships—we’ll continue to operate with the same heart: a safe, welcoming environment where both clients and clinicians feel seen, valued, and supported.

Our goal is sustainable growth with soul—building a thriving practice that never loses its close-knit spirit.

Letting emotions out is important because it helps your mind and body stay balanced. If you keep everything bottled up, the feelings don’t just disappear—they build up and can show up in other ways, like stress, headaches, irritability, or even difficulty sleeping.

Here are a few key reasons why it matters:
• Reduces stress: Expressing emotions releases tension, preventing emotional overload.
• Improves mental health: Talking, journaling, or crying helps process experiences instead of letting them fester.
• Strengthens relationships: Sharing how you feel builds trust and connection with others.
• Prevents physical strain: Repressed emotions can contribute to health problems like high blood pressure or a weakened immune system.
• Boosts self-awareness: Letting feelings out helps you understand yourself better and respond in healthier ways.

Hi! My name is Nicole Sobh. I wanted to reintroduce myself as TTS has grown substantially within the last few years and we have some new followers too!

I got my Bachelors in Psychology from CMU in 2005 and my MSW from Wayne State in 2007. Within my career I have worked with CMH and the school system which eventually lead me to opening my dream, True Therapy Services.

My goal for TTS is to continue to grow and expand in order to allow us to service as many community members as possible. But it is to always remain a place that has a small feel, close staff and most importantly, a comfortable space for clients to come to.

Currently I have all different experts on our team that service ages 4-elderly care as well as specialize in many different modalities such as EMDR, Play Therapy, CBT and DBT.

We offer video and in person as well as take almost all insurances. We strive to make mental health care as easy and convenient as possible.

Each year I host interns for several reasons. First, I enjoy supervising and teaching our future clinicians. Secondly and most importantly, by hosting interns we are able to provide services at an extremely reduced rate in order to offer our services to those that may not have insurance.

We are open 7 days a week and are here to support you in your journey!

Asking your kids about their day at school is important for several reasons—both emotionally and developmentally. Here’s why it matters:

🧠 1. Builds Emotional Connection
• It shows you care about their experiences.
• Encourages open communication, so they’re more likely to talk to you when bigger issues come up.

📚 2. Supports Learning and Growth
• Talking about their day helps reinforce what they learned.
• You can catch signs of struggles early—academically, socially, or emotionally.

🚨 3. Identifies Problems Early
• Bullying, anxiety, or academic challenges might not be shared unless prompted.
• Regular conversations make it easier for them to open up when something’s wrong.

🧠 4. Encourages Reflection and Critical Thinking
• Asking thoughtful questions (“What was something that made you think today?”) helps them reflect, not just recount events.
• They learn to process experiences and emotions more clearly.

🌱 5. Teaches Communication Skills
• Helps them articulate thoughts, organize their ideas, and practice conversation.
• Builds vocabulary and emotional intelligence.
