Thank you to our donors for helping provide our clients with over 250 packages of diapers and wipes during the month of November! That's over $4,320 in diapers and wipes that were freely given! In one month! Thank you.

In November, our parenting class clients received a total 192 material resource assistance boxes full of clothing and baby essentials such as bottles, pacifiers, nursing supplies, blankets, bibs, burp clothes, washcloths and towels, bouncy seats, swings, strollers, and other essential care items to help them provide for their children. That's amazing love being passed onto our clients and their children!

At The Lennon Center, we help families with their children up to age five through our parenting class programs.

We are all about walking with moms to empower families to be able to support their children and be good parents. Empower. Support. Parent. It's what we love to do!

You can help us in meeting the greatest needs, which are currently diapers and wipes by purchasing size 6 diapers on our Walmart registry or picking up a box and dropping them off at the center during business our business hours of 9-3p on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. https://www.walmart.com/registry/BR/065e9dae-4dcc-423e-a36c-641b4143b261

Are infant car seat covers safe? The short answer is no.

Car seat manufacturers advise parents not to use any product in the car seat if it isn't made by the manufacturer.

Other winter car seat tips include: Not putting your child in a winter coat in their car seat. It is very difficult to secure your child properly if they are wearing a winter coat or lots of layers. You are basically restraining the jacket and not the child.

How to keep your child warm? You can drap your child's coat or a blanket over the seat once they are securely buckled in, warm up the car before putting your child in during extremely cold temperatures.

Today is our last day of parenting classes for the rest of 2025!

It's hard to believe that the year is coming to a close already. We have been preparing ourselves the past month for our annual Christmas Boutique which we will be offering to a limited number of our parenting class clients next week.

We have received an incredibly generous outpouring of support from local churches, organizations, and schools and we can't wait to start the holiday fun!

Parenting classes will start up again in the new year on Tuesday, January 6th.

"My baby still wakes up crying every three hours, so I don’t get much sleep. but I’m managing with the breast pump and baby supplies you provided.

I also used the bathing method you taught me, being very careful around her umbilical cord.

Rachel's Vineyard is a safe place to renew, rebuild, and redeem hearts broken by abortion.

Weekend retreats offer a supportive, confidential and non-judgmental environment where women and men can express, release and reconcile painful post-abortive emotions to begin the process of restoration, renewal, and healing.

The Detroit Industrial School Foundation recently awarded a grant for special programs to The Lennon Center.

We are honored to be supported by this foundation which is one of Detroit’s oldest charitable organizations. They have run continuously for over 165 years. That's since 1857, which is just incredible!

Their mission is to support and care for children in the metro Detroit area and respond to their needs. We thank the Detroit Industrial School for helping us to support our TLC families!

Please consider joining our intercessory prayer team to collectively gather our prayers and unite as we face the challenges of continual opposition to the sanctity of life. We have 48 people signed up and we need you!

We especially need your prayers for the pregnant women that walk through our doors feeling lost and hopeless, the women who are trying to keep their families together despite overwhelming odds while facing a new pregnancy, and the countless other hardships that our clients experience as part of their daily lives.

Once a month, Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Plymouth gathers up items that they collect for Pregnancy Resource Centers and then chooses one to distribute the donations to.

We were blessed to be the recipients of this month's collection. And what a collection it was! Al and Emmanuel dropped off two full car loads of diapers, wipes, blankets, clothing, bathing items, strollers, pack n plays, and so much more. It took three people all afternoon to sort through and put everything away!

That same day one of our clients who desperately needed something to help her soothe her fussy newborn came into the office. We were able to give her the beautiful swing that was donated and she even tried it out with her daughter who immediately calmed down.

She says, "Here in Detroit, I have no family or close friends nearby, so your kindness truly means the world to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!"

Wondering what exactly The Lennon Center does for the metro Detroit community?

As a pregnancy resource center, we help women and men from all over the metro area. We offer free, limited ultrasounds, and free pregnancy testing.

The ultrasound clinic is overseen by our nurse manager as well as an OB/GYN who reviews all client ultrasound scans.

Pregnancy resource centers in Michigan provided close to 10,000 free pregnancy tests and ultrasounds by registered nurses/medical sonographers. This is amazing!

Here's what you can do to help your local PRC:
• Pray: The emotional energy given by those who work in the pregnancy help movement is demanding. Pray for spiritual refreshment for those who work in PRC's.
• Volunteer: Connect with your local pregnancy help organization and see what their needs are. You may have just the right skills to fill a need.
• Donate items: Call your local pregnancy help organization and ask them what items they need to bless a new mother (such as diapers or maternity clothes) and start collecting. Not only will you bless a center, you will bless multiple families as well. We are in extreme need of size 6 diapers and wipes. • Give: Without the generous donations of those within the community, pregnancy centers would not be able to provide their services for free.
