The veil is thinnest and communication with the Other Side is optimum. As we celebrate Samhain and the lives of those who have passed on, remember that while mourning is a part of loss, honoring their LIVES is MOST important.
We might have a little rain, but if you can't do a bonfire, a candle will do. Make a list of your desires and toss it into the flame.
Decorate your mantle with pictures, fruits, perfumes, and other things that represent your ancestors. A prayer of thanks and gratitude , a dance or two and some treats (for the living and the dead) should round out the celebration. Be sure to leave a plate of goodies at the door for any wandering Spirits that may pass your way.
Its a simple way to avoid any unwanted "tricks". Pull your cape of White Light around you tight as you perform your séance, flip your tarot cards or use your pendulum. (no ouji please!!!!)

Silverado became my home in 1988. She's not a truck, she's a 1935 bungalow. She’s been my heart and haven. I raised my daughter and granddaughters here, cared for countless furry and feathered friends, and opened a daycare after my daughter was born. After a near-death experience in 2000, I devoted my life to spiritual work as a Reiki Master and medium, helping others heal from this very home. We can feel the loving energies in her walls. Thanks to an FHA loan and years of sending extra payments during the his times,I’m just about to pay off the mortgage early! (Unexpected) But there's one last hurdle—$7,000 in property taxes that weren’t covered by escrow. I can't work directly with the county or city because of the loan terms, and the full amount is due now. I’m so close to the finish line but need help to cross it. Silverado has been in my life for nearly 40 years, and we even have a little song for her: Silverado, my little home, Silverado, I’ll never roam… Silverado, my little home sweet Silverado, home sweet home. (It sounds even sappier when I sing it) Please help me keep this sweet, 1935-built home where it belongs—with the family who loves her. Any little bit will do. I appreciate you all. With love, Edie.
