LAHC Welcomes Atty. Fadwa Hammoud to Board of Directors During Transformative Time for Workforce Development
LAHC – Leaders Advancing & Helping Communities is proud to announce that Attorney Fadwa Hammoud has been appointed to serve a two-year term on the organization’s Board of Directors, a milestone that comes at an exciting moment in LAHC’s continued growth and forward vision.
As a mission-driven nonprofit, LAHC works to expand access to education, workforce training, social services, behavioral, mental and public health services across Southeast Michigan. The organization focuses on helping over 80,000 individuals annuallyto build stability, strengthen skills, and connect to meaningful career opportunities that support long-term success.
Hammoud brings extensive leadership experience in law, public service, and community advocacy. As Managing Member of the Detroit office of Miller Johnson, she leads complex investigations and litigation efforts while supporting strong organizational leadership and community engagement, experience that will help guide LAHC as it continues to grow its programs and partnerships.

Her appointment comes as LAHC prepares to launch its Education & Workforce Hub in 2026, a centralized space designed to strengthen career pathways, expand access to training and technology, and connect residents to employment opportunities. The Hub will serve thousands each year through career coaching, skills training, youth programs, and supportive services.
As LAHC continues building a strong, future-ready workforce, Hammoud’s leadership will help advance collaboration and long-term community impact while strengthening pathways to opportunity across the region.
