Summer is a great way to change up your routine and make time for outdoor fun, whether it’s dining outside on the patio or going for a family walk. Your kids will love the fresh air and extra bonding time.

Now that we are well into Summer, we wanted to share some friendly tips for protecting your children while enjoying a fun-filled Summer 🌞

- 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞, 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞: Make the most of your summer days by limiting screen time and instead use that time to connect as a family by doing more hands-on activities (cook together, game night, reading a book together, visit a museum, etc.)

- 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 especially after swimming or sweating

- 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲: Check the daily air pollution forecasts in your area. The color-coded forecasts can let you know when the air is unhealthy in your community

- Make sure that your child wears a 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐦𝐞𝐭 while riding a bike or scooter

- 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭 to avoid bug bites

- Make sure your child wears a 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭 when on a boat or any watercraft

- 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐭 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬: Use proper safety devices and designate an adult pool watcher during parties. Teach children to always ask permission before getting in the water

- 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞 𝐡𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 on hot days such as Cucumber, Watermelon, Strawberries, Lettuce, Celery, etc.)

Spring is here! Which also means seasonal allergies are likely here for your little ones.

The best way to reduce your allergy symptoms is to limit pollen exposure in some of the following ways:

- Stay indoors during peak pollen times (typically in the evenings)
- Keep the windows closed
- Go outdoors on rainy days
- Change clothes immediately after being outdoors
- If using allergy medication, use at the onset of symptoms
