I’ve been praying for rain today. The ground is so dry. I even put things away before we left to celebrate our daughter’s birthday, just in case. On our way home the clouds became thick. Drops started falling. When we pulled into the driveway a steady rain began falling. Thank You Lord for the rain! It’s beautiful! It’s just what we needed!

Most of us are familiar with Sage as it is used in most dressing recipes. Sage is great with any poultry dish! My FAVORITE way to prepare it is to fry the leaves for a couple of seconds in a pan of hot olive oil and then remove it to a paper towel where it is lightly salted. It’s the most delicate, crispy, delicious little treat! Here is one of my sage plants blooming!

As the last of the tulips are blooming, I’m planting out zinnias, daisies, cosmos, sunflowers, dahlias, and more! Seedlings galore are growing in the greenhouse, in the fields and even more seed should be delivered by Friday. Thousands of larkspur and millions of poppies are already growing and should be ready to bloom in May for our first ever Poppy Festival! Blackberries are blooming and we may have a few Blackberry days this summer too! It’s all about the timing now as we wait for things to grow and bloom
