The functional changes in acne include:
-Inflammation
-Excessive production of sebum
-Overgrowth of skin cells
-Bacteria growth

The structural changes in acne include:
-Enlargement of the pores, due to overgrowth of skin cells and excessive production of sebum (skin oil)
-Acne lesions themselves
