Last week, we had the honor of welcoming Congresswoman Nikki Budzinski, and her team, to Crossing Healthcare’s campus.

While on campus, Congresswoman Budzinski met Richie, one of our inspiring Recovery Services patients and a resident of our supportive housing program. Richie bravely shared part of his journey, powerfully illustrating just how critical Medicaid is in creating pathways to recovery, stability, and new beginnings.

Medicaid isn’t just a policy - it’s a lifeline that makes services like mental health care, substance use treatment, and preventive screenings possible for the people we serve every day.

Together, with leaders like Congresswoman Budzinski, we’ll continue working to ensure every person in our community has access to the care, compassion, and support they deserve.

Alcohol can affect more than just your weekend plans - it can impact your mood, your health, and your relationships.

Many people don’t realize when drinking starts to become a concern. It can sneak up slowly, showing up as stress, sleep issues, or tension with those closest to you.

If you’ve ever wondered whether alcohol might be interfering with your daily life, you’re not alone - and there are resources that can help.

This guide from SAMHSA highlights common signs that alcohol use may be becoming a problem. It’s a helpful place to start, whether for yourself or someone you care about.

Need someone to talk to? Call us at 217-330-5676. Support is available, and you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Last Friday, Jamie, our Narcan Trainer, had the honor of providing lifesaving training to recruits at the Macon County Law Enforcement Training Center. These recruits were trained to recognize opioid overdoses and administer Narcan effectively. Each recruit also received Narcan nasal spray as a vital addition to their toolkit.

To the soon-to-be graduates: your dedication to serving and protecting your communities is truly inspiring. Best wishes as you prepare to graduate this month!

We are grateful to the Macon County Law Enforcement Training Center for their partnership, which makes it possible to deliver this critical training to every recruit class.
