This week we honored the journeys of more than 50 active clients at every stage of recovery during our 17th Annual PIHC Recovery Dinner & Recognition Ceremony!

From the guest who joined us on their second day of IOP (we can’t wait to celebrate next year) to the similar client who attended last year in their second week of treatment and this year received two plaques: one for completing IMPACT Intensive Outpatient and another for completing the full 9-month IMPACT program.

We celebrated our TRANSFORM clients, who courageously worked to break cycles of addictive and criminal thinking, joined by supportive family members and even cheering Probation Officers.

And we recognized those in our Continuing Care Program, reminding us that IMPACT doesn’t end with a farewell graduation—it’s a welcome to the alumni family. Every week, alumni return to give back, support new participants, and embody the full circle of recovery.

At PIHC Recovery, every step in recovery counts. Congratulations to our clients and to everyone making progress in their journey.

If you or someone you love is suffering from addiction, help is available and wont cost you a thing. Send us a message to start a conversation.

Recovery isn’t just about one moment, it’s about the everyday choices that help you feel whole.

In IMPACT Recovery Planning today, we shared ways to reduce stress and feel well. Here are some:

⚠️ Notice when stress is building up and practice healthy ways to let it go.
🪜 Break big goals into smaller steps you can manage.
⚖️ Find balance whether it’s sleep, food, movement, or caffeine.
🧘 Create moments of quiet reflection, relaxation, or connection every day.

At PIHC Recovery, we believe recovery is a way to care for yourself every single day. Recovery is real, and caring for yourself in small, consistent ways makes a big difference. 💙

September is National Recovery Month: Honoring Healing, Hope, and Resilience

📆Each September, communities across the nation come together to recognize National Recovery Month, an initiative led by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
For over three decades, Recovery Month has served as a reminder that recovery is possible. It emphasizes the importance of access to evidence-based prevention, treatment, and recovery support services that help people live healthy, fulfilling lives.

💫💫Why Recovery Month Matters💫💫

Substance use and mental health challenges impact millions of Americans, regardless of age, race, or background. By shining a light on these issues, National Recovery Month works to:

👁Reduce stigma around seeking help for addiction and mental health concerns.

🥳🥳Celebrate individuals in recovery, showcasing their resilience and determination.🥳🥳

Highlight resources available in communities, ensuring that people know help is within reach.

Encourage policymakers and organizations to expand and strengthen treatment and recovery services.

💪💪The Power of Recovery

Recovery is not just about overcoming addiction—it is about reclaiming one’s life, rebuilding relationships, and fostering hope. Research shows that treatment works and recovery is real, but it requires compassion, understanding, and access to care.

Stories of recovery inspire others to seek help and remind us that healing is possible. Families, peers, providers, and communities all play vital roles in supporting those on their journey.

A Call to Hope and Action

As we observe National Recovery Month this September, let us stand together to promote healing, celebrate the resilience of individuals in recovery, and continue building communities that support health, well-being, and second chances.

Recovery is a journey—and every step forward deserves recognition.

Behind the Scenes at PIHC Recovery

Did you know? Counselors get counseling on counseling?

It’s called clinical supervision — and just like therapy, it has its own set of ethical guidelines to ensure the best possible care.

Our supervisors play a vital role — not only supporting clinicians as they grow, but also ensuring that clients receive the highest quality care. That means supervisors carry a responsibility to protect both the client and the clinician in training.

At PIHC, we’re proud to have some of the best of the best in the field, including Recovery Trailblazer Dr. Moneta Sinclair, pictured here explaining CBT and who recently led a training on Theories in Clinical Supervision through our PIHC Institute.

It’s one more way we invest in our team so they can invest in you. 💜

If you work in the field with us, we are opening up our amazing training thru PIHC Institute. Follow us and stay tuned for upcoming CE workshops.
