The infrared pictures provide a clear illustration of the enhanced blood flow to the areas of the body that have been pulsed or are being pulsed, in contrast to the areas that have not.

As each area of the body is being pulsed, circulation is being increased. PEMF therapy increases cellular membrane permeability by contracting the cells and by stimulating the opening of ion channels through the cell membrane.
