We enjoyed a lovely and delicious Thanksgiving Feast today with many loved ones. Thanksgiving reminds us to appreciate all that we have in this life—and the people we get to share it with. We couldn’t feel more blessed to spend each day loving our beautiful residents at The Carriages of Decatur. They are what we are truly thankful for!

Our residents were absolutely blown away during their very first visit to a planetarium! Season of Lights is an incredible show now playing at the Staerkel Planetarium at Parkland College in Champaign. When I asked if this was their favorite outing yet, it was a unanimous YES!

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new “Carriages Cares” program! This initiative was created to empower the residents and staff of The Carriages of Decatur to support charitable causes and community events that hold a special place in our hearts.

With the holiday season right around the corner, we are proud to share that our first partnership is with Toys for Tots, and The Carriages of Decatur is now an official drop-off location. Our Community Relations Director, Robin Luna, along with our wonderful residents, has led the way in bringing this meaningful collaboration to life—all in an effort to spread joy to children throughout our community this holiday season.

If you feel moved to participate, we invite you to stop by and place a new, unwrapped toy in the drop box located just inside our front doors. Please note that the cutoff date for donations is Thursday, December 11th at 5:00 PM.
