Aalayah joined the Licensed Professional Counselors Association (LPCA) in discussing with policymakers and legislators the role counseling professionals play in Georgia’s mental health systems. Aalayah (right) took a picture with the LPCA President-Elect, Dr. Tonja Simmons Lee (left), with the Proclamation for LPC Appreciation Day, signed by Governor Brian P. Kemp.

🌟 Staff attends the 2nd Annual Co-Responder Teams Professional Development Conference hosted by the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD)! 🌟This year's theme, "Many Roles, One Goal: Collaborating for Care, Committed to Change," perfectly describes our program.

Our incredible co-responder Staff provides essential support in mental health crises by partnering with law enforcement officers to respond to 911 calls. 🙌

Since 1992, our program has been a beacon of hope in the community, ensuring that individuals in crisis receive the care they need at our DeKalb Regional Crisis Center. From de-escalation to follow-ups and referrals to our four outpatient clinics across DeKalb County, we're committed to making a difference every day. 💙

We're proud of our partnerships with the DeKalb County Police Department and the Decatur, Doraville, and Dunwoody Police Departments. Together, we're committed to change, ON CALL AT A TIME!

🌟 February is Youth Mental Health Awareness Month! 🧠

At Claratel Behavioral Health, we are dedicated to supporting children and adolescents facing emotional, behavioral, substance use, or mental health challenges.

🙌We offer Child and Adolescent Services for ages 4-17 and Emerging Adult Services for ages 16-26. Engaging peer support services provides certified peer parent and peer youth staff who use lived experience to promote hope and empowerment as they assist clients and families in self-directed recovery.

Our APEX program offers School-Based Services that enhance learning environments by removing barriers to education and promoting students' emotional well-being. We are currently in 14 schools in the DeKalb County School District.

🌟 Last night, Claratel staff proudly participated in the DeKalb County COC Point-in-Time (PIT) count! This vital one-night census helps us gather crucial data on the number of sheltered and unsheltered individuals experiencing homelessness in our community.

By understanding demographics and locations, the county can better plan services, allocate resources, and measure trends in homelessness. We were honored to be part of this important initiative and to contribute to efforts to make a positive impact. Together, we can create lasting change!
