As we head into the holiday week, we want to remind our community that Good Samaritan Inn will be open on Thanksgiving, serving a free hot meal to anyone in need, just as we do 365 days a year.

If you or someone you know could use a warm meal and a welcoming place to sit, our doors will be open from 11:30am–1:00pm.

No questions asked. Just care, compassion, and community. 🧡

We’re proud to share that Charmaine Robertson-Stoner, LCSW, Chief Behavioral Health Officer, and Emily Wilkey, BA, Recovery Services Coordinator, presented today at the IPHCA Maternal Health Summit in Bloomington.

Their session, “Social Supports for Pregnant and Postpartum Patients,” highlighted the innovative, family-centered work happening through our Pregnant & Parenting Program.

The Summit brings together FQHC providers from across Illinois to focus on improving maternal health outcomes through evidence-based practices and successful community programs. Charmaine and Emily did an incredible job representing Crossing Healthcare and sharing the impact of our work with pregnant and parenting individuals in recovery.

Now Open!

Crossing Healthcare’s new Rapid Care walk-in clinic is now open at 575 W. Hay Street on the Decatur Memorial Hospital campus.

Rapid Care provides quick, convenient care for all ages with minor illnesses and injuries. Just walk in when you need us - no appointment needed.

🕓 Hours: Monday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
📍 Location: 575 W. Hay Street, Decatur (on the Decatur Memorial Hospital campus)

From garden beds to dinner tables, look what we grew together in 2025!

𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬:

• Over 𝟏𝟔,𝟎𝟎𝟎 pounds of fresh produce distributed to patients and families across our community.
• 𝟐𝟓𝟖 patients participated in our Prescription Produce Program - partnering with Chronic Care Managers to use fresh food in managing diabetes, high blood pressure, and other health conditions.
• Nearly 𝟏,𝟎𝟎𝟎 community members redeemed Senior Farmers Market coupons, WIC vouchers, Empowerment Opportunity Center coupons, or purchased $5 Market Bags.
• Volunteers contributed nearly 𝟏,𝟎𝟎𝟎 hours planting, weeding, pruning, and harvesting to keep the garden thriving and nourishing our community.

From fresh produce and family-friendly recipes to moments spent learning, growing, and giving back - every seed planted this season helped strengthen health and hope across Macon County. 🌱

A big thank you to our dedicated staff, along with our patients, partners, volunteers, and community members who made this season such a success. We couldn’t do it without you!
