Cinnamon isn't only yummy but it is one of the most commonly used herbs in Classical Chinese Medicine formulas. Depending on what other herbs you combine it with, it can help with colds, allergies, palpitations, digestion and menstrual pain. Cinnamon trees grow in Asia and you both the twigs, Gui Zhi, and the bark, Rou Gui, can be used, but have different medicinal affects. Contact me, Judith Kenen, at jkenen@intownacupuncture.com, if you'd like an herbal formula designed for you.

You know how frustrating it is when your friend raves about a new supplement that has kept her from getting sick all year but doesn't help you at all? It's because immune system support isn't a one size fits. We are all unique. Chinese Herbal Medicine formulas are designed to look at where YOUR body needs support. I can spend an hour on zoom with you to figure out what formulas would be the best fit for you so you don't have to wonder and guess, wasting time and energy trying a bunch of things that might not help.

Chinese herbal formulas are a great way to support your well being while social distancing! I can do a telehealth consult and then prescribe you an indiviidualized formula that you can pick up outside our office. These formulas can address the same concerns that acupuncture can address with the added benefit of being able to stay in the safety of your home. Reach out if you have questions or want to set up a consult.

It’s Election Day. Let your voice be heard. If you encounter long lines or delays of 45 minutes or more because of voting machine issues/malfunctions, you should report the delay to poll officials and can request an emergency paper "provisional" ballot.

Individually and as a team, the licensed acupuncturists at Intown Acupuncture are wholly committed to your health and satisfaction. "The skilled practitioners at Intown Acupuncture know how to treat focused health problems, however, the treatment here goes beyond that. They integrate insight and understanding of the origin of the problem, the relationship to one's constitution and lifestyle, and a path to healing the whole person." - M.R., 58, Decatur
