At Hospice of the Valley, our patients and their loved ones become part of our family. Last week, our Community Bereavement Center hosted its semi-annual Memorial Service, bringing families and our HOTV Care Team together to honor and remember those we’ve had the privilege to serve.
We are deeply grateful to the families who entrusted Hospice of the Valley with the care of their loved ones, it is an honor we never take lightly.
Our Community Bereavement Center is dedicated to providing compassionate, practical support to those coping with loss. In addition to ongoing bereavement care for hospice families, we offer community education, short-term grief counseling, and support groups for anyone in need.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Decatur Heritage Christian Academy's 3rd grade class, Ms. Melanie White, and Ms. Lynda Hanvy, for assembling 100 Valentine goodie bags for our patients and their families.
Earlier in January, HOTV’s Children’s Bereavement Coordinator, Brandy Strickland, had the opportunity to visit with their class to share about hospice care, how we serve our patients, and ways to navigate grief in an age-appropriate and meaningful way.
We are so grateful for this thoughtful act of kindness and for the compassion these students have shown to the families we serve.
