The Decatur Morgan Hospital Foundation is honored to help bring awareness to water safety through Drake’s Fund, a program created in memory of 3-year-old Drake Wyatt, who tragically passed away in a drowning accident.

One of our very own nurses at Decatur Morgan reached out to us to start this fund to honor her son’s memory—and to help prevent similar tragedies from happening to other families. Through this initiative, we are working to provide swim lessons and essential water safety education to children across Decatur and Morgan County.

With your support, we can make a difference. The Foundation is accepting donations to help grow Drake’s Fund and continue offering life-saving resources for families in our community.

Welcome, ACOM Class of 2027!
Decatur Morgan Hospital is proud to welcome the newest group of medical students from the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine!

These Medical Students will be training with our physicians at DMH for the next two years and gaining hands-on experience and serving our community.

Today, we had the opportunity to attend a Town Hall led by our Hospital President, Kelli Powers. We’re so grateful for her leadership and the genuine care she shows for both Decatur Morgan Hospital and its employees. We received exciting updates on new physicians, hospital improvements, upcoming technology, special recognitions, and so much more. It was a great chance to connect with team members from across our system and be reminded of all the incredible things happening here. Decatur Morgan truly is a special place to work. 💙

Meet Phyllis Loudiana — a dedicated and compassionate part of the Community Free Clinic family for the past 2 ½ years. After retiring from a long and fulfilling career in nursing, Phyllis felt a calling to stay connected to the medical field and to continue serving others. That desire led her to us — and we couldn’t be more grateful.

At the Clinic, Phyllis plays a vital role in patient advocacy and enrollment for indigent prescription programs, helping our patients access the medications they need but often can’t afford. Her knowledge, warmth, and heart for service make a real difference in the lives of those we serve.
