I am so excited to welcome Heritage Birth Center to Wise County! A new birth center is coming in May 2026, and I am incredibly grateful to be part of this journey.
The year 2025 was a season of reflection and refinement for me. When God led me to the difficult decision to close my birth center in Decatur and slow down, I knew deep in my heart there was a purpose behind it. I felt at peace waiting on the Lord’s timing, fully trusting Him and the work He was doing in my life.
When He brought my midwife friend, Alexandra Wyatt into my life and began aligning our paths, His plan became clear, more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. As the owner of Heritage Birth Center, Alex will take on the responsibility of running the center and providing day-to-day care for clients. In my role as her midwife assistant and Clinical Director, I will support and attend births alongside her and focus on my role as Clinical Director for the birth center until I’m ready to take on midwifery full time.
This transition allows me the much-needed space to step back from the demands of running a business and catching babies while still doing what I love…serving families while working alongside a dear friend whom I trust, admire and deeply respect. I am beyond thankful for this next chapter and all that is to come.
