Did you know that 80% of New Year’s Resolutions are abandoned by the end of February? With half the year over, and school right around the corner, now is a good time to reevaluate. I would like to encourage you to set monthly goals, instead of yearly ones. Looking at something for 30 days, as opposed to 365, is much more manageable and much less overwhelming. So, let’s join together this month, and every month, to make small changes that we will actually stick with! 1. Lowering Stress
Massage stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system—what we call the "rest and digest" state. When you're in that mode, your body decreases cortisol (the stress hormone) and increases serotonin and dopamine (your feel-good hormones). The result? You feel calmer, more emotionally balanced, and better able to sleep and heal.
2. Reducing Pain
Therapeutic touch helps release muscle tension, increase blood flow, and ease nerve compression. Massage can relieve pain from headaches, injuries, chronic tension, and structural imbalances. It also stimulates the release of endorphins—your body’s natural painkillers.
3. Boosting Immune Function
Regular massage has been shown to increase the activity of white blood cells (especially lymphocytes), which are essential to your immune defense. It also supports lymphatic drainage, helping the body detox and respond better to infections or inflammation.

🚫 But massage does not directly lead to weight loss. Here's why:
Massage doesn’t burn enough calories to result in measurable fat loss. It might reduce water retention or bloating temporarily (which can feel like weight loss), but it doesn’t replace exercise or dietary changes. It’s more accurate to say massage supports your wellness journey, helping you feel more energized and less stressed—so you’re more likely to make healthier choices overall.

✨ So what’s the takeaway?
Massage is a powerful supportive therapy. It helps you feel better, move better, and recover better. And while it won’t shrink your waistline, it can help create the internal environment where sustainable wellness habits—including weight loss if that's a goal—become more doable and aligned.

Having good posture is about more than just looking good. It helps to keep you in optimal alignment, which promotes strength, flexibility, and balance in your body. Those who find themselves working from bed, an uncomfortable couch, or a chair that wasn’t built for the height of their desk are more prone to poor posture and are at higher risk of pain and injury.
Our brain is always working to make it easier for us to be in whatever posture we put ourselves in, so exercising proper mechanics and learning about the right postural exercises will help you:
⭐️ Become more aware of your muscles, making it easier to correct your own posture
⭐️ Reduce stress on your muscles and ligaments, which can reduce your risk of injury.
As you work on your posture and become more aware of your body, you might even notice some imbalances or areas of tightness you weren’t previously aware of.
