It was created with one idea: we want to assist families and their elderly loved ones in maintaining their independence at reasonable prices, but with quality care. Alabama Home Care Specialists employs both home care aides and CNAs. We also have an RN and LPN on staff that are available to help monitor your loved one's needs. Each employee is carefully screened using background, sex offender registry, and nurse aide registry checks. Each is required to submit a TB test and is required to have a valid drivers license and verifiable auto insurance. Alabama Home Care Specialists provides a variety of elder care services, from homemaking services to personal care services, as well as services specifically targeted for seniors with alzheimer's disease or dementia. AHCS provides elder care 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week. AHCS works closely with most Long Term Care insurance companies, such as Genworth, Metlife, TransAmerica, New York Life, and many more. We have multiple shifts available in Decatur and Hartselle. The shifts are from 8am-6pm, 10am-1pm, 7am-7pm, 8am-6pm, 7pm-7am, 2pm-10pm, and 2pm-11pm. We have some weekend shifts that are flexible as well- 7a-7p (can split) and 8-4/4-11p. These positions will require companion and personal care services. This past week, a very dear member of our team and friend to us passed away from cancer. Janice began working with us in 2016, and remained a loyal and devoted caregiver to many families throughout the time she was with us. She often sacrificed time with her family to ensure others’ loved ones were cared for. She continued her service until she was no longer physically able to do so. Janice always went over and above to care for the families she worked with, and was one of the most kind and caring people we have had the opportunity to have on our team. Our thoughts go out to her husband, Alan, and her children and family in the days and weeks to come.
