Beltane is celebrated around May 1st and marks the midpoint between spring and summer. It is a fire festival, traditionally associated with fertility, growth, passion, and the full awakening of the earth after winter.

In ancient Celtic traditions, Beltane was a time when the veil between worlds was considered thin, similar to Samhain, but instead of honoring endings, Beltane celebrates life at its peak. Bonfires were lit to protect, purify, and bless both people and livestock, and communities gathered to honor the returning warmth and abundance of the land.

This is a season of becoming.
