Happy, happy birthday to Shelly - our all-encompassing strength, cycling, Pilates, step training, and stretch instructor - who pushes us to the limit and is happy to do so! Her positive demeanor and knowledge on strength-building are immensely appreciated. Shelly is launching her new program - Food as Medicine (ask her for a handout!) through BalanceLife Training to help you understand nutrition for great health. ✨If your life had a theme song right now, what would it be?
I have two.... Be Here Now by Judah and the Lion. It's about being present, in the moment. It's a beautiful song. 2nd is Jump by Van Halen. Van Halen is my favorite rock band and I love to jump into challenges, new experiences and new adventures!
✨What energizes you most — starting things, improving things, or finishing things?
Finishing things! I like getting things checked off my list and I love the sense of accomplishment!
✨If you had the opportunity to give a TED Talk tomorrow, what topic would you choose?
Proactive Wellness. Steps you take to improve your health span today and every day forward; not waiting to become reactive.
✨What’s a memorable challenge that ended up teaching you something valuable?
Moving to a different town in midlife! I learned it takes time to find your tribe - and once you do you, don't take them for granted.
✨If your friends had to describe you in three words, what do you think they’d choose?
Gosh! This seems like a trick question. 😉 Some might say "unhinged" where others might say "down to earth". 😂 My hope is that I'm seen as trustworthy, fun and caring. 🥰
