Sandy Headington is happy to be living independently in her home again. She recently took advantage of the skilled therapy program at Aase Haugen to recover from an illness that took away her strength and independence. Staying close to home at Aase, she received specialized therapy care from Aase’s therapy partner, Northern Iowa Therapy (NIT), and in just seven weeks she moved back home. Sandy Headington is happy to be independently living in her home again. Earlier this year she had a bout of covid that was followed by Rhabdomyolysis, which is a virus that causes muscle tissue to breakdown at an alarming rate. The illness put Sandy in the Hospital in La Crosse, WI, for several days...
