We provide resources and services for mental healthcare, substance use, crisis management, & more. We make a difference – locally, every day.

Each year Riverside Community Care provides more than 40,000 children, adolescents, and adults with a broad range of behavioral healthcare and human services. We offer mental healthcare, developmental and brain injury services, youth and early childhood programs, addiction treatment, trauma response, and more. And our work includes partnerships with local hospitals, physicians, and schools. You can count on Riverside when you or someone you know needs help. We take your trust seriously and work hard to make a difference by delivering compassionate, locally-based, integrated care.

Last week, Kim Fisher and Melissa Kogut from Riverside joined the National Council for Mental Wellbeing's Wellbeing's Hill Day in Washington, D.C., to meet with Massachusetts legislators and advocate for stronger mental health and substance use policies.

Alongside a delegation led by the Association for Behavioral Healthcare and hundreds of advocates nationwide, they focused on critical priorities including:

· Expanding access through the Ensuring Excellence in Mental Health Act and the CCBHC model
· Securing federal funding for community mental health and substance use programs in FY26
· Closing care gaps for justice-involved individuals through the Due Process Continuity of Care Act and Reentry Act of 2025

Thank you to Congressman Jim McGovern for meeting with us, and we appreciated connecting with staff from the offices of Congressman Seth Moulton, Rep. Jake Auchincloss, Congresswoman Katherine Clark, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Senator Ed Markey, and Representative Stephen F. Lynch.

Advocacy remains one of Riverside’s core values. We’re deeply grateful to the legislators working to strengthen mental healthcare across our nation.

We were so pleased to have Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll visit a Riverside Group Living Environment in Norwood today. Group Living Environments provide stable, supportive communities where people with mental illness can develop life skills and work toward greater independence. We greatly appreciated the meaningful discussion about the critical need for fully funded programs across the continuum of care and the positive impact Chapter 257 has had at Riverside. The second annual Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) South County Office Olympics brought our team together for an unforgettable week of friendly competition, creativity, and community!

Planned by Jessica Rams, Operations Director, this event featured Rubber Band Archery and Copy Paper Shot Put. From Paper Plate Discus to our hilarious Costume Race, we had something for everyone — regardless of role, schedule, or skill set.

Our Riverside team had a wonderful time connecting with the Needham community at the Needham Thrives festival! It was energizing to see residents of all ages come together to prioritize mental health, mindfulness, and connection. Thank you to the organizers (Needham Resilience Network - NRN, in partnership with the Needham Community Council, and the Charles River YMCA), as well as everyone who stopped by. Events like these remind us of the power of community in building a healthier, stronger future for all! 💙
