Riverside Community Care We provide resources and services for mental healthcare, substance use, crisis management, & more. We make a difference – locally, every day.

Each year Riverside Community Care provides more than 40,000 children, adolescents, and adults with a broad range of behavioral healthcare and human services. We offer mental healthcare, developmental and brain injury services, youth and early childhood programs, addiction treatment, trauma response, and more. And our work includes partnerships with local hospitals, physicians, and schools. You can count on Riverside when you or someone you know needs help. We take your trust seriously and work hard to make a difference by delivering compassionate, locally-based, integrated care.

Riverside's Early Head Start (EHS) program continued its action-packed summer with another exciting community adventure! EHS families traveled to Cambridge Universal Playground, where everyone enjoyed a wonderful day of bonding and outdoor play. The playground slides and temporary tattoos had kids smiling all day long!

Isabelle and Katherine are mental health specialists serving older adults in the community. Through Riverside’s partnership with Mystic Valley Elder Services and the Massachusetts Behavioral Health Outreach for Aging Populations program, they provide therapy in clients' homes and senior facilities, addressing the unique mental health challenges that come with aging. Currently serving approximately 100 older adult clients, the pair helps with issues like social isolation, health changes, and various forms of grief and loss. Riverside is proud to recognize our three amazing staff members who presented at yesterday’s 13th Annual Stephanie Moulton Symposium, held at the JFK Library. This dynamic event, sponsored by the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health, explored co-morbidity in mental illness and provided actionable strategies to increase safety within the recovery community.

Dan Foley, Assistant Program Director, Connect2Recovery, and Johnny Franchio, Recovery Coach, delivered their presentation, "From Risk to Respect: Redefining Safety Through Harm Reduction." Amie Sica, Vice President for Recovery & Peer Services, joined the panel discussion to share her expertise alongside Karran Larson (MCDHH/MA), Jennifer Knight-Levine (SAFE Coalition), and Zachary Visinho (Community Counseling Of Bristol County). Our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Joe Shrand, was also in attendance.
