April is Occupational Therapy Month!

This month, we’re proud to celebrate the incredible impact of Occupational Therapy and the dedicated professionals who help our patients live life to the fullest every day.

We’ll be introducing each of our Occupational Therapists throughout the rest of the month!

First up is Tia Sutton - Tia joined DLMC less than a year ago and brings a wealth of expertise and clinical experience.

From Tia: Hi! My name is Tia Sutton and while I'm originally from Billings, MT, I have lived many places in our beautiful state. I became an OT because my grandmother suffered from a stroke when I was young and I was able to see the help she received through medical interventions and therapy. I was also fortunate to see the medical setting from a young age as a candy striper at Billings Clinic and then able to secure an OT aide position in a hospital setting after college.

I attended OT school at the University of Mary-Billings Campus and have spent my years as an OT, primarily as a pediatric therapist; however, I love the entire lifespan and have been fortunate enough to work in places allowing me to juggle both the pediatric population and the adult population. The thing I love most about being an OT is helping people. I enjoy the scope of OT because we get to do so many things! I truly believe I get to work with people and play with people for a living. How lucky is that?! I feel very thankful to be here at Deer Lodge Medical Center.

Dr. Lawson is a board-certified nephrologist who provides patients with professional diagnoses and medical treatment for kidney-related conditions.
