Daylight savings day is today - it is time to change our clocks! For kids, this might be a little confusing, and tricky to adapt to - especially their new sleep schedule! Use a simple story about how we can “borrow” an hour of morning light to enjoy more sunshine in the evening! Or, you can shift bedtime by 15 mins every few days to help their internal clocks adjust.

Kids First had the honor of sponsoring the Hofstra Occupational Therapy students as they traveled to Albany, NY for the New York State Occupational Therapy Association (NYSOTA) Advocacy Day. Students got the opportunity to meet with assembly members and senators to discuss key legislative issues including limiting copayments for OT, expanding OT positions in school-based roles, and so much more. They were given the chance to understand how legislative decisions can shape their future careers. The Hofstra students had a wonderful day together, and Kids First was thrilled to be a part of their experience by sponsoring the event! Thank you and for your hospitality.
