Today, a mom that I love and adore, was just informed that her baby no longer has a heartbeat. She is 18 weeks pregnant.
As mothers, one of the hardest and most soul crushing experiences in life is losing a child that was so deeply wanted. Being held by our community is the only thing that keeps many of us above water.
I want to make it exeptionally clear to everyone, especially for those who do not know, that this mother will be laboring and delivering her baby and will be experiencing postpartum, just like a full term pregnancy. She will have medical bills, she will need postpartum and birth supplies, she will need to eat and feed her family of five, she will need to make and pay for cremation/burial arrangements for her baby, and she will need time and support while she is grieving the loss of her sweet baby.
As she navigates this journey, she has come to me for help and support. She is not local to me and I’m doing my best to help her virtually.
I’m reaching out to the masses and I’m trying to gather funds in order to help her pay for groceries for her family, birth and postpartum supplies, cremation/burial costs, medical bills, and anything else that she might need while she travels down this road of heartbreak.
As many of you know, I started supporting families while they grieve the loss of their pregnancies and children after the loss of my daughter, Isla. I call this section of my business, “Waves of Grief.” I do all of this work by donation ONLY. I do not charge grieving families for this support. Your donation means the world to me and your past donations have helped me love and support more than TWO HUNDRED grieving families over the last three years.
If you’d like to be part of my mission, please send your donations through Venmo -manfredonia.
