Hartman Delano Poitier. Poitier continued in Funeral Business until 1978. Upon retirement Delano Poitier was then succeeded by his nephew Mr. Lohman H. Rahming. Lohman built a strong business based on great Embalming and Caring deeply for the bereaved Families.

🇧🇸Bahamian Independence Day 🇧🇸 The Bahamian community has profoundly shaped the local culture of Deerfield Beach. To celebrate this significant influence and Bahamian Independence Day, a celebration will be held at The Deerfield Beach Historical Society newly renovated Museum of Black History on Saturday, July 12th, from 12 PM to 4 PM. The museum is located next to the Butler House at 380 E Hillsboro Blvd.

Attendees can expect an afternoon filled with vibrant culture, delicious Bahamian cuisine, and an opportunity for community fellowship. This event offers a chance to celebrate the rich heritage and contributions of the Bahamian community in Deerfield Beach. Special thanks to the Community Foundation of Broward for their support.
