Replying to 🎀

05/22/2026

(Yes that’s my baby laughing at me in the background 😭 make it a sound)

Your body cannot fight inflammation while running on empty.

Your body cannot fight inflammation while running on empty.

When you have autoimmune conditions, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, or Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria your body is working overtime 24/7 — and that means it often needs MORE nourishment, not less.

This is why “hypernourishment” matters:
✨ Adequate protein helps tissue repair
✨ Hydration supports the nervous system & histamine regulation
✨ Vitamins/minerals get depleted faster during chronic inflammation
✨ Under-eating, dehydration, crash dieting, and poor sleep can worsen flares
✨ Stable blood sugar can help reduce stress on the body

Many people with chronic inflammatory conditions accidentally become undernourished because they’re exhausted, nauseated, afraid of reactions, or restricting too many foods.

Your body still needs fuel to heal.

Hypernourishment is not about overeating junk food.
It’s about intentionally supporting the body with:
✔️ Nutrient-dense foods
✔️ Protein
✔️ Electrolytes
✔️ Healthy fats
✔️ Sleep
✔️ Nervous system regulation
✔️ Replenishment after flares

An inflamed body is a body with increased demands.
You cannot pour from an empty cup — and neither can your immune system.

As a Nurse Practitioner let me y’all something respectfully 😂👇🏽

We actually LOVE when patients ask questions. Please ask questions. Please understand your treatment plan. Please advocate for yourself. 👏🏽

But the funniest part of healthcare is when patients ask for help… then negotiate every single recommendation 😭

And my face tells on me every single time when I get the :

“Do I REALLY need the medication?”“Can’t I just Google it first?”“I stopped taking it because I felt better.”“Can’t we just monitor it?”“Do I HAVE to see the specialist?”“Can you just refill it without labs?” 👀

Meanwhile your blood pressure is 190/110 and your A1C is introducing itself to Jesus 😭

Listen… healthcare is a PARTNERSHIP.We can recommend. We can educate. We can guide. But you have to meet us halfway.

The best patients are not “perfect” patients. They’re honest patients:✔️ “I’m scared”✔️ “I can’t afford it”✔️ “The side effects bother me”✔️ “I keep forgetting”✔️ “I’m overwhelmed”

THAT conversation helps us help you ❤️

We don’t expect perfection. We just want progress, honesty, and follow-through.

-Sincerely,

Your friendly neighborhood NP 💉🩺

🚹 LOW TESTOSTERONE IN MEN: More Common Than You Think

Feeling constantly tired, low energy, decreased libido, brain fog, mood changes, loss of muscle mass, weight gain, or erectile dysfunction? Low testosterone may be one possible cause.

Testosterone is an important hormone that helps regulate:
✔ Energy
✔ Mood
✔ Muscle mass
✔ S*x drive
✔ Bone health
✔ Fertility

🩺 COMMON CAUSES OF LOW TESTOSTERONE:
• Obesity
• Poor sleep / sleep apnea
• Chronic stress
• Aging
• Diabetes & chronic illness
• Certain medications (opioids, steroids, etc.)
• Pituitary or testicular disorders
• Excess alcohol or anabolic steroid use

🧪 HOW IS IT DIAGNOSED?
Diagnosis is NOT based on symptoms alone. Bloodwork is needed, typically:
✔ Morning testosterone levels
✔ Free testosterone
✔ LH & FSH
✔ Sometimes prolactin, thyroid labs, CBC, PSA, and more depending on the patient

🏋 FIRST-LINE TREATMENT:
Lifestyle changes are extremely important and can naturally improve testosterone levels:
✔ Weight loss
✔ Resistance training/exercise
✔ Better sleep
✔ Stress reduction
✔ Healthier diet
✔ Limiting alcohol

💉 SECOND-LINE TREATMENT:
For some men with confirmed low testosterone and persistent symptoms, Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) may be considered under medical supervision. TRT comes with BOTH benefits and risks, so proper evaluation and monitoring are essential.

⚠️ Important: Not every man with fatigue has low testosterone, and not every low testosterone level needs treatment. A proper medical evaluation matters.

If you think you may be experiencing symptoms of low testosterone, speak with a qualified healthcare provider for evaluation and guidance.

🚨 Chronic Hives or Something More? 🚨

Not all “allergic reactions” are the same. Two conditions that are commonly confused are:

🩺 Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria (CSU)
AND
🩺 Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS)

Here’s the difference 👇

✨ CSU (Chronic Hives)
• Mainly affects the SKIN
• Causes chronic itchy hives and swelling
• Symptoms last longer than 6 weeks
• Often no obvious trigger

✨ MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome)
• Can affect the WHOLE BODY
• May cause:
▫️ Flushing
▫️ Hives
▫️ GI symptoms
▫️ Rapid heart rate
▫️ Dizziness
▫️ Brain fog
▫️ Reactions to foods, smells, heat, stress & more

💡 Think of it this way:
CSU = primarily a chronic hives condition
MCAS = a systemic mast cell overreaction disorder

⚠️ If your “hives” come with dizziness, stomach issues, flushing, palpitations, or reactions to multiple triggers, it may be worth discussing further evaluation with your healthcare provider.

Treatment for BOTH may include antihistamines and sometimes biologics like Omalizumab, but the approach can differ depending on the underlying condition.

Your symptoms are real. Don’t ignore what your body is trying to tell you. 💛

🦟 DENGUE FEVER: What’s Going On Right Now?! 🦟

Dengue fever is exploding globally and health officials are paying VERY close attention in 2026 👀

📈 Cases have surged across:
▪️South America
▪️Central America
▪️The Caribbean
▪️Parts of Asia
▪️Puerto Rico & U.S. territories

The CDC says the Americas continue to see HIGH dengue transmission, especially during travel season.

🇺🇸 What about the United States?
Most U.S. cases are currently:
✈️ travel-associated
🦟 brought back by infected travelers

BUT…
Health officials are increasingly concerned because the mosquitoes capable of spreading dengue:
🦟 Aedes aegypti
🦟 Aedes albopictus

are already present in many U.S. states — especially Florida, Texas, and parts of California.

📍Florida update:
Florida has already reported multiple travel-associated dengue cases in 2026, including:
▪️Broward
▪️Miami-Dade
▪️Palm Beach
▪️St. Lucie
and several other counties.

⚠️ Symptoms can include:
🤒 High fever
😖 Severe body aches (“breakbone fever”)
🤕 Headache
👁️ Pain behind the eyes
🤢 Nausea/vomiting
🔴 Rash

🚨 Severe dengue can cause:
• bleeding
• shock
• dangerously low blood pressure
• organ damage

🦟 Why is dengue increasing?
Experts believe several factors are contributing:
☀️ warmer climates
🌧️ heavier rainfall
✈️ increased global travel
🏙️ urban overcrowding
🦟 expanding mosquito habitats

📢 IMPORTANT:
Dengue does NOT usually spread person-to-person like COVID. It spreads mainly through infected mosquito bites.

🩺 Prevention is key:
✔️ mosquito spray
✔️ remove standing water
✔️ long sleeves outdoors
✔️ window screens
✔️ extra caution when traveling to tropical areas

Bottom line:
This is NOT currently considered a pandemic-level emergency — but dengue is becoming one of the fastest-growing mosquito-borne illnesses in the world. Health agencies are watching it VERY closely. 🦟🌎

HANTAVIRUS UPDATE 🚨
Here’s what we know RIGHT NOW about the 2026 Hantavirus outbreak 👇

🦠 The outbreak has been linked to the cruise ship MV Hondius after multiple passengers became ill following travel connected to South America. The strain involved is the Andes strain — the ONLY known hantavirus strain that can occasionally spread person-to-person through very close prolonged contact.

📍Current updates:
▪️Multiple confirmed international cases
▪️3 confirmed deaths
▪️41 people in the U.S. currently being monitored
▪️CDC says there are currently NO confirmed active U.S. outbreak cases at this time

⚠️ Early symptoms can look like:
• fever
• body aches
• fatigue
• headache
• nausea

And in severe cases can rapidly progress to:
🫁 shortness of breath
🫁 lung failure (Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome)

📢 IMPORTANT:
Health officials continue to stress that the risk to the general public remains LOW and this is NOT spreading like COVID. The virus usually spreads through exposure to infected rodent urine, droppings, or contaminated dust.

👀 Why experts are watching this closely:
The Andes strain is rare because limited human-to-human spread HAS occurred in past outbreaks. That’s why CDC, WHO, and multiple countries are monitoring exposed travelers very carefully.

🩺 Bottom line:
Stay informed — not panicked.
Right now this appears to be a contained outbreak, but health agencies worldwide are taking it seriously.

POV: You swear red lipstick isn’t for you… until the owner of Compelling Cosmetics, Shari Beckford, personally pays you a visit and completely changes your mind 💄✨

I’m wearing “Karissa” by Compelling Cosmetics and babyyyy… I finally understand the red lip hype 😍 I NEVER thought red lipstick looked good on me until now. The color, the confidence, the softness… she did what needed to be DONE 👏🏽❤️

And after learning more about her brand, I’m even MORE impressed ✨ Her signature “Compelling Lipwear” was featured during Fort Lauderdale Fashion Week 2026 and is known for its long-lasting, lip-gloss-activated, no-smudge formula designed to last for HOURS without flaking. Now THAT explains why this lip has been sitting so pretty! 💋🔥

But let’s talk skincare too because this line is giving beauty WITH skin health 👏🏽 Her makeup and skincare products are organic, gentle on the skin, and thoughtfully created with hydration in mind…..the FIRST ingredient in the skincare products is H2O 💧 which instantly told me this line was focused on nourishing the skin, not just covering it up. Lightweight, hydrating, skin-friendly beauty will always get my attention!

Which is exactly why I’m excited to announce that we will now be carrying products from Compelling Cosmetics at MDPC Healthcare ✨ More details coming soon because trust me… once you try this line, you’re going to understand the hype.

Now excuse me while I go get my nails painted ❤️ ❤️ in my new color

Did you know that every 22 seconds, a veteran takes their own life.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚 and that statistic alone is a reminder of how important it is to talk about mental health openly and honestly.

I think one of the biggest things we need to normalize is not always pretending we’re okay. People are exhausted, overwhelmed, anxious, burned out, and still showing up every day acting like nothing’s wrong because somewhere along the way struggling became something people feel like they have to hide.

Taking care of your mental health shouldn’t feel embarrassing. Rest shouldn’t feel lazy. Asking for help shouldn’t feel weak. And protecting your peace shouldn’t require an apology.

Check on your people. Especially the ones who seem the strongest.

HANTAVIRUS UPDATE 🚨📅 5/11/26

What’s happening right now with the cruise ship outbreak everyone is talking about? 👀

🛳️ The outbreak is linked to the Andes strain of Hantavirus — the ONLY known strain that can rarely spread from person to person.

Current reported updates:⚠️ 7 confirmed cases⚠️ 2 suspected cases⚠️ 3 deaths⚠️ Multiple Americans flown back to the U.S. for monitoring and quarantine

Here’s the IMPORTANT part ⬇️

❌ This is NOT considered a pandemic right now❌ Health officials say the public risk remains LOW❌ It is NOT spreading like COVID

BUT… experts ARE watching closely because:🦠 The Andes strain has limited human-to-human transmission potential🫁 It can become severe quickly and affect the lungs🛳️ Cruise ships create close-contact environments

Typical symptoms:🤒 Fever💥 Muscle aches😵 Fatigue🤕 Headache🤢 GI symptoms

Severe symptoms can progress to:🫁 Shortness of breath🫁 Fluid in the lungs🫁 Respiratory failure

Normally Hantavirus comes from:🐭 Rodent urine/droppings or contaminated dust exposure

What’s making THIS outbreak unusual:⚠️ Officials reportedly found NO rodent evidence onboard the ship

BOTTOM LINE:Right now this appears to be a serious but CONTAINED outbreak — not a global pandemic. Health officials worldwide are aggressively monitoring and tracing contacts.

Stay informed… not panicked. 🩺✨
