ACLS Clinical Decision Support System (ACLS - CDSS)
ACLS- CDSS assists clinicians at the point of care.
The clinician interacts with the ACLS- CDSS to help determine diagnosis, analysis, etc. of patient data.
Utilizing both the clinician’s knowledge and the ACLS - CDSS to make a better analysis of the patients data than either human or ACLS-CDSS could make on their own. For example, ACLS-CDSS would present clinical data for various reversible causes. The clinician would compare these with the actual case data and thus is able to select the most likely reversible cause.
There are prompters and reminders arranged in such a way to reduce the amount of information about ACLS concepts that must be commited to memory.
There are also warnings and alarms if a decision contradicts ACLS recommendations.
ACLS - CDSS can be used for pre-diagnoses, to help the physician prepare the diagnoses. ACLS-CDSS is also used during diagnoses to help review and filter the physician’s preliminary diagnostic choices to improve their final results.
Electronic evidence-based medicine system, handling a wide range of data. Example data can include a patient’s symptoms, medical history, family history and genetics, as well as historical and geographical trends of disease occurrence, and published clinical data on medicinal effectiveness .
Workflow Integration:-Tools to customise or incorporate external diagnostic algorithms and charts for example standardised charts or processes used by an organization.
