All smiles from this sweet rosebud! 💐
I haven’t posted a love note to a rosebud in a good minute, mostly because this summer has been fun, busy, and wild. Plus I feel weird sometimes about posting my perspective of someone else’s birth. I would never want to overshadow the birther’s experience or muddle their own memory of what happened. But when her mama sent me this pic, I asked if I could share it along with a little love note & she said, “Of course!!”
So if you had a baby within the last year and want me to post a love note, DM me and know that I would be *honored* and that I love getting updates on your life as a new family!
Ok here we go: Miss Cowgirl, your birth was something else I tell you. After several days into an induction, your little early birdie self came flyin out. Your badass mama pushed you out with so much strength + love. Her intuition was strong as steel, too. (“I gotta be on all fours!”). Your daddy was right there next to her mama, stroking her hair, holding the fan. His gentle steadiness and her incredible power just radiated throughout the room the whole time.
At one point, I asked your mama if she wanted to hear a song. “Yeah!” “The Chicks?” “YEAH!” So, you were born with the sound of “Lullaby” playing in the background. The first line of that song says, “They didn’t have you were I come from. Never knew the best was yet to come.” As soon as you were born, your mama gasped and said to your dad, “We did it! She’s here!” He chuckled and said softly, “You did it” before he leaned it to give her a kiss on the forehead. Truth is, you all did it. Together.💐
Born to two hardworking animal lovers, this little cowgirl has already made the world better. She’s growing so fast (must know all the fun she’s about to have once she can saddle up!) We sure love you, Miss Cowgirl. Here’s to many more nights rounding those barrels and never ever giving up.🛢️🐎
