Channel 13 Toledo News Story Coming:
There are moments when a community doesn’t just show up…it rises. And this year’s Night to Shine 2026 was exactly that.
In the final stretch of preparing for two of the most meaningful nights of the year, our dear friend Brad Stover experienced a tragic accident that suddenly pulled him away from the work he pours his heart into—transforming our space into something magical for our Honored Guests.
Brad’s commitment to this night has always started from a deeper place—his love for the participants and the mission at Kaitlyn’s Cottage. That love grew into something even bigger. He took his passion for celebration and memory-making and turned it into a mission of promise and elegance for the Defiance, Ohio, Tim Tebow Foundation’s Night to Shine—faithfully serving for 9 years (and counting).
And when he couldn’t be there this year… this community carried it forward.
Because of the partnership between Family Christian Center and Kaitlyn’s Cottage, and the incredible people within our community, something truly powerful unfolded. This community—rooted in faith, compassion, and action—came together in ways we will never forget. People stepped in without hesitation. Some had never experienced Night to Shine before, yet gave their time, their energy, and their hearts as if they had been part of it for years.
Prayers were lifted. Hands got to work. And somehow, through it all, the night unfolded in the most spectacular way.
Not a glitch.
Not a missed moment.
Not a single Honored Guest impacted.
Just pure joy, celebration, and love—exactly as it was meant to be.
Brad has made it his mission to share just how remarkable this community truly is. From the initial efforts of the church members who found him, to the skilled first responders from Defiance Fire and Rescue who stabilized and managed his emergent needs, to the incredible trauma care teams at ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital, his medical transport, and the expertise of the surgeons, nurses, and trauma teams at ProMedica Toledo Hospital—every step of his journey has been surrounded by excellence and compassion.
From there, his strength continued to grow with the support of the inpatient team at ProMedica Flower Hospital Eidi Family Rehabilitation Center, where he walked out just four weeks after the accident. And now, he’s continuing his recovery with outpatient therapy at ProMedica Defiance Hospital Total Rehab.
We invite you to watch Channel 13 News tomorrow evening, when his story is shared by Ethan Watts—not only from Brad’s perspective, but from the many individuals who came together to make this a powerful story of perseverance, and faith in God’s bigger plans for his life.
This is what it looks like when faith meets action.
When a community refuses to let someone fall alone.
When people step up—not because they have to, but because it’s who they are.
We are beyond grateful.
We are deeply humbled.
And we will never forget what was shown to us in this moment.
This is more than an event.
This is community. This is faith. This is love in motion. 💜
