The American Stroke Association recommends remembering B.E. F.A.S.T.:

• Balance — Sudden loss of balance or coordination
• Eyes — Sudden trouble seeing or vision changes
• Face — One side of the face drooping or numb
• Arms — Arm weakness or numbness
• Speech — Slurred speech or trouble speaking
• Time — Time to call 911 immediately

Every second counts during a stroke. Fast medical attention can improve recovery and help reduce long-term effects. Take a moment this month to learn the signs and share them with the people you care about.
