Since our trip took an unexpectedly sad turn, we decided to take the long way home and drive through Yosemite, which none of us has seen before today. I don’t even have the words y’all…. 🤩😍
We were just passing through and didn’t have too much time to explore but we stopped for quite a few frolic breaks. The natural beauty itself rejuvenated us and lifted our moods. It’s such a magical place!
Next stop is another place we’ve never been… here we come

I haven’t done a fitness post in awhile. Honestly I feel the imposter syndrome when it comes to talking fitness because I didn’t get into it until later in life when I realized that my chronic pain was caused by a lack of strength.
For a long time, my only fitness goal was to become more injury resistant. I spent years on this goal and although no one is 100% injury proof, I’ve achieved a relative stability.
So, now it’s time to set some new goals and get even stronger. I’ve set my sights on a 225 # bench press, while also continuing to improve on whole body strength. I started out with 50 # dumbbell press and now I’m up to 160 # , just a lil over my body weight. I’m hoping to be able to hit 225 by the end of summer.
I designed my exercises around my schedule. As I don’t like to be too sore when I’m giving massages, I usually only lift 3 days a week but with a solid consistent program I think that’ll be enough to achieve my goals. I’ve been doing the 1st split twice a week. And I try to work in yoga and hiking on days I don’t lift.
I’d love to help others get out of pain and achieve their own fitness goals. I may lack confidence as a newly certified personal trainer, but I think this program is going to be a big part of proving myself to myself.
