Don’t get me wrong - I’m not against HRT. It has so many benefits.

Hormones are a huge topic but I’m finding that a lot of women think they have hormonal imbalances (which they do) but the imbalances are a downstream effect of other systems in the body not functioning properly.

The body deprioritizes hormone production when other systems in the body are “broken” such as blood sugar regulation, GI function, digestion, microbiome dysbiosis, sluggish liver or thyroid issues.

I think women are getting over prescribed HRT without first addressing the underlying issues in the body that need help.

If this is the case, HRT just masks symptoms and women are still dealing with symptoms like fatigue, weight loss resistance, Hashimotos, POTS, etc. which can all be figured out by using functional labs to find the imbalances and healed with natural lifestyle changes.
