We’re excited to welcome Farnaz to the Connected team! Farnaz brings a deeply collaborative, thoughtful, and human approach to therapy. 🌟💛

She is accepting new virtual clients and is in network with Aetna, Cigna, and United Healthcare. See her bio below -

Personality & Presence:

Hi, I’m Farnaz, Registered Psychological Associate and Ph.D. I believe therapy is most effective when it feels collaborative, respectful, and genuinely human. I strive to create a space where you feel seen, understood, and supported as your full self.

I approach my work with care, curiosity, and deep respect for each person’s lived experience, paying close attention to cultural, contextual, and ethical considerations. As a bilingual therapist fluent in Persian and English, I value the richness of cultural identity and understand how deeply it shapes our stories, relationships, and healing journeys.

Strengths:

I work with adults seeking meaningful and sustainable change, using an integrative, trauma-informed, and evidence-based approach tailored to each client’s goals and needs. I have experience supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, stress, identity concerns, and major life transitions.

I am especially familiar with working with immigrant communities, incarcerated individuals, and clients from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, including those with West Asian cultural perspectives. In therapy, we will work together to build insight, strengthen coping tools, and develop a clear path forward that honors your strengths while addressing current challenges. I also value psychological assessment as a powerful tool for self-understanding and thoughtful treatment planning.

Specialities:

• Anxiety & Depression
• CBT
• Identity Development
• Life Transitions
• Psychological Testing
• Reducing Symptoms of Trauma
• Stress Management

The Power of Authentic, Loving Connection

It all started with the idea that humans are biologically wired to seek connection with others. Of course, this idea is not new, but we experienced the truth of it when we began our journeys as therapists more than 6 years ago. Through the often chaotic and vulnerable times, we came to rely on each other, forming a deep connection that saw us through the trials and tribulations (and yes, successes, too), of growing personally and professionally.

Through education, research, and our own personal and professional encounters, we came to intimately understand that feeling safely and securely connected to others gives us the courage to express our authentic self, live freely, and love fiercely. Having witnessed the transformative powers of this fundamental principle, we knew we needed to help others experience it for themselves. It was through that realization that Connected, Seen & Heard was born.

The ability to teach others what we have learned gives us a deep sense of meaning, direction, and purpose. Through our therapy, workshops, and trainings, we have empowered others who seek to embrace their authentic selves. And it all starts with connection... loving, authentic connection.
