The Rio Grande Hospital Wellness Center holds a permanent place in the heart of our convention’s history. As we look forward to our upcoming event in Alamosa, it is important to recognize the foundation upon which this community was built.

When the SLVRPG Tabletop Gaming Convention was just a vision, the RGH Wellness Center stepped forward to provide a home for our very first gathering. They were the first to believe in our mission to bring the San Luis Valley together through tabletop gaming. Without their initial support and the use of their wonderful space, this convention would never have made the leap from an idea to a reality.

Even as we expand and transition to a new venue this year in Alamosa, the Rio Grande Hospital Wellness Center remains a steadfast supporter of our goals. Their commitment to building a stronger, healthier community through social engagement, games, and educational workshops is a testament to their dedication to the people of the San Luis Valley.

We are incredibly grateful for their continued partnership and for the vital role they played in helping us roll the dice for the very first time.

RGH Wellness Center's Resilience Rising initiative has three very exciting events coming up this month.

Sunday, April 12 @ 1PM: The Church Project in Monte Vista hosts our monthly Resilience Studio session. Join local artist Macey Sigaty for “Knowing Yourself Through Art”.

Tuesday, April 12 @ 5PM: Join us at the Wellness Center in Del Norte for our Hearts & Minds live session with Ray Merenstein, Executive Director, NAMI. This session brings together the most powerful ideas from the series into one meaningful conversation: how we take care of ourselves, how we show up for others, and why it matters more than we think.

Saturday, April 18 @ 6PM: Come to Alamosa's Narrow Gauge Book Coop for a special Spadefoot Story Slam and Resilience Rising Collab for your stories on RESILIENCE. The event will be recorded as part of Resilience Rising's Resilience Record, an oral history project capturing local mental health stories. Stories can include a moment of navigating a crisis, overcoming a setback at work or in your personal life, how you move through grief, and so much more.

We had an incredible turnout last night for our Addiction & Local Resources community presentation, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the amazing support from our community! 🙌💙
