Rio Grande Hospital Wellness Center is excited to invite you to our Community Rattlesnake Safety Presentation on Thursday, May 28, from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM at the RGH Wellness Center, located at 310D County Road 14 in Del Norte.

This educational presentation will focus on rattlesnake awareness, outdoor safety, bite prevention, and medical treatment information. The event will be presented by Tim Armstrong, a retired biologist from Adams State University, and Tim Kynion, PA-C.

Topics will include:
• Rattlesnake biology, habitat, and behavior
• Bite prevention and outdoor safety
• What to do if bitten
• Medical treatment and antivenom information

A light meal will be served and donations are welcome. This free event is open to the public.

Thank you to all of our amazing vendors for being part of our Summer Treats & Treasures Market 🍍. We truly appreciate the time, effort, and care you put into your booths and for showing up to support our community.

While the wind didn’t quite cooperate and made for some challenging moments, we are incredibly grateful for your patience, flexibility, and positive attitudes throughout the day. It did not go unnoticed.

We also want to thank you for helping create a welcoming, fun atmosphere for everyone who attended. Events like this are only possible because of the support from local vendors like you, and we are so thankful to have such a great group to work with.

We hope you still had a good experience and were able to connect with the community. We look forward to future events together and hope to see you all again soon.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! Mental health is part of all of us.

This month, we’re creating space for honest conversations, small moments of care, and showing up for one another. Join us at the Wellness Center this May for one of our many free community sessions, including this week's Resilience Rising Body Mapping workshop on Thursday May 7 at 5PM.

Join us for the final Workshop in the Resilience Rising Series: a Body Mapping Workshop led by local artist, Jocelyn Catterson and in partnership with The Church Project of Monte Vista.

This session is a guided, hands-on art experience that helps participants connect with their inner sensations, emotions, and stories through a combination of meditation and creative expression.

We’ve loved creating a space for our community to slow down, check in, and try something new. Please join us to celebrate what we've built, and experience something new.
