You should see the resounding "YES!" from the audience when I ask if people feel pulled in 1,000 different directions.

It shouldn't surprise me as I work with closely with individuals as a therapist and coach, yet it's a clear sign that people are exhausted.

In my signature talk, I work with the audience to heal the root cause of stress causing exhaustion because it impacts their ability to show up effectively at work and home.

Some of you moms didn’t get the day you deserved. Don’t forget your worth.

In the minds of your children, you are irreplaceable.

You:
Kiss boo-boos
Get the needed disposable food for the next field trip
Teach life lessons
Provide psychological safety so your kids feel safe to talk to you.
Hustle to ensure they are in activities to enrich their minds

Your kids don’t see your wrinkles, tummy, or dark circles.

✨Not all the gifts you deserve are visible in the moment. I promise, if you keep focusing on prioritizing your mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing, your kids will continue to respect and value your relationship for years to come.

I don’t want to.

I just got home after a long day of work and my daughter wanted to play “makeup.”

Me? I wanted to check out.

Not because I don’t like spending time with her but because fatigue pulls you from valued activites.

Me: [Grounding myself in values and practicing the skill of presence] ”Yes, please do my make up!”

Here’s how I made mindfulness easy and practical as a busy mom during my forced make-over:

1) Notice the feeling of my hair being brushed. (Heavenly 💆‍♀️ If you know, you know.)

2) Close my eyes and notice the feeling of her pink eyeshadow caked finger making ‘whiskers’ on my face. (What started as a make over turned into ‘Let’s make mom look like a cat!’)

3) Breath slow and deep.

I felt MORE relaxed and renewed than if I scrolled social media on autopilot.

“You’re telling me I have to learn how to parent AND lead a team AND prioritize self-care, AND connect with my partner?”

Nope. It’s the opposite.

Your life consists of multiple pieces that create one life. Focusing on each area separately adds to your mental load. Take one self-improvement goal and create a system that benefits all areas of your life. This leads to success.

It makes me happy when busy moms take the mental wellness strategies they learn with me in coaching and create a system that allows them to prioritize themselves while also applying the concepts to parenting and workplace leadership.

Leadership and self-care win. 🏅

Pause! Let’s look closer.

You throw team parties, offer gym membership reimbursement, and send email recognition emails.

You buy your kids the newest gadgets, sign them up for extracurricular activities so they expand, and take them on outings.

Have you stopped to ask if these efforts are meeting the mark?

The real mark of connection isn’t doing more OR assuming what others need. It’s meeting the personalized needs of each individual so they feel seen, appreciated, and supported.

As I have expanded my network, I love witnessing it work in real time.

🎯 COLLABORATION VS COMPETITION.
Despite being in a similar niche as me, Kelly Bubolz, Jennifer VanRossum 5Peaks. Moira Martin and Kate Sayers Safe Space Therapies took time out of their schedule to share insights. They supported me with genuine time and insight, and it made a lasting impact.

🎯 LEAD WITH YOUR GUT.
When I was looking for “more”, I searched for support. I came across Dominique Pritchett & Co. and Cameisha Brewer Dickerson and a voice told me to work with them.
I trusted my gut and the work we did together unlocked a new version of me. One who believed she could be a mental wellness speaker, create flexibility in my schedule, and expand my capabilities.

🎯 Connection over performance always wins. People can “feel” your motive. When it’s real, it builds trust. When it’s performative, it creates distance.

🎯 Empathy and curiosity are what hit the mark. The relationships I remember most aren’t because of what someone gave, but how they made me feel.
