Our hearts are with the Milwaukee Police Department, their families, and the entire law enforcement community following last night’s tragic incident. Though times like this we are reminded of the senseless violence in this world, we are also reminded of the strong community amongst first responders. We are keeping you all in our thoughts and praying for a full recovery for both officers involved.💙🖤

You can be committed to the job without losing yourself in it.

The uniform may be what you wear, but it’s not all that you are. In a career that demands so much of your time, energy, and identity, it’s easy to let the job consume you. But when you stop taking care of yourself, the cracks start to show — in your sleep, your relationships, your patience, your health.

🔥 Honored to be speaking at the Wisconsin State Fire Chiefs Association conference this week where I’ll be addressing a topic that hits close to home: mental health and wellness fatigue in the fire service.

As a psychologist who works closely with first responders, I see the toll this work can take — not just physically, but emotionally and mentally. It's time we start prioritizing mental readiness with the same commitment we give to physical readiness.

Looking forward to meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and real solutions for those who carry the weight of leading others through crisis.

🧠🚒 Let’s break the stigma and build a culture of support from the top down.

Sometimes the ruck gets too heavy.
You don’t feel safe. You don’t trust anyone. You’ve carried the weight alone for so long, it feels like the only way.

But here’s the truth: asking for help isn’t weakness — it’s insight. It takes strength to recognize when you need support. You don’t have to carry it all alone.

We’re here. We can help you shoulder the load.
You’re not alone.

You don't have to wait until it's too much to carry. Schedule a confidential therapy session today--we're here when you're ready.

Get on the schedule today!

"Like, I had plans... to do nothing." — David Rose

When your one and only day off gets canceled and suddenly you’re back on shift — again. First responder life doesn’t come with guarantees (or boundaries 😅).

Whether you're channeling your inner David Rose or muttering like Moira, just know: you're not alone, and it's okay to be frustrated. You give so much — even on days you’re supposed to rest.

💙 We see you. We appreciate you.

Wellness visits are more than just a perk—they’re a powerful message.
For recruits, it shows your department has your back from day one.
For employers, it’s an investment in stronger, healthier teams.

At Thin Line Psychological Services, our wellness visits support first responders through every stage of the job—starting with the first handshake.
Whether you're building a team or joining one, make sure mental health is part of the conversation.

At Thin Line Psychological Services, we get it—because we’ve worked alongside those who do the job. Whether you need to talk it out, sort through the stress, or just breathe for a minute, we're here.

📅 Schedule a session today—virtual or in-person.
You don’t have to wait for a crisis to get support.

It's National Donut day, so you know what that means don't you?

Let’s address the jelly-filled elephant in the room…
Yes, we’ve heard every police + donut joke out there — and probably laughed at a few too. 😅

At Thin Line Psychological Services, we know first responders face real stress — but today, we’re embracing the sugary stereotypes and leaning into the laughs.

💬 Drop the WORST police + donut stereotype or joke you've ever heard in the comments. The cornier, the better. Bonus points if it makes us cringe and laugh. 😬🍩

👮‍♂️💙 We'll go first... DONUT be a glazer and eat all the donuts yourself. 😬
