Dear friends and colleagues,
Today marks the end of an era, as I closed the doors of my office in Holmdel for the last time. Starting January 2022, I'm excited to join the extraordinary Advent Health System in Florida where I will serve as a General and Colorectal Surgeon.
I am sad to leave my wonderful friends, my colleagues and my patients that I have had the privilege to care for during the last seven years at Holmdel General Surgery. However, I am very excited about the future and all the new opportunities in store for me.
I would like to extend a special shout out to all the nurses who I have worked alongside with, especially the ones in the OR that have gone out of their way to re-write all my preference sheets so my transition into my new position is seamless. You make us surgeons look like rockstars to our patients. You all helped me grow as an attending surgeon, and I am forever grateful.
Thank you to the anesthesiologists who have kept my patients safe. It has been an honor working with all of you. I hope to strike gold twice and work with a group that is just as talented, down to earth and fun to work with.
I also want to thank my colleagues who have supported me and helped my practice grow ever since when I was a fresh attending. Thank you for your confidence in me (you know who you are). Thank you to my fellow surgeons whom I have had the privilege to operate with. There is so much I have learned from each of you that cannot be expressed by words.
Thank you to my wonderful Holmdel General Surgery staff, past and present. I especially appreciate you, Mackenzie Chalk, who has served as my right hand woman for the past 6 years. Your family has taken me in from day one and I will always consider you all as my second family.
I hope to see you all again soon. It’s not “goodbye,” but “see you later.”
As for now, I’m going to Disney World!
