As you all know or at least suspect I have sold LindenLea and intend to retire to a quiet life of travel, close friends, and pottery. Because of the house I managed to buy, I have to add fixing up my house. Which will take time and patience.
I have loved all of my time at LindenLea, my staff was able to take over the care of my dad who suffered from Dementia, which was huge. He lived with us 7 years and I feel that was my duty and something I’m proud of. Shannon took great care of him for me way back then and I thank her and all the rest of the staff that helped him live a life of dignity with the odd Brew!
I have tried to care for those who came to us as if they were part of my family and I believe to this day that is the best way to manage an ALF. I have tried to treat staff fairly and provide a clean and happy working environment, understanding of the issues single moms confront daily. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for all their hard work.
I shall miss our families, that have come to be like my own, please know I am willing and able to advocate for your loved one, if need be. I’d love to stay friends too, so please keep in touch. I love to go out for a glass of wine or a mug of beer anytime, I’ll be your huckleberry! Just call!
And I shall miss your family members that are my residents, I have come to know them well and love them at the same time. We all have issues and they deal with their’s with so much grace I hope it rubs off on me.
Love Vivienne
