What a night to remember! Our Last Ticket Standing event was filled with excitement, laughter, and an incredible sense of community—and it’s all because of YOU.

A heartfelt thank you to Bill Budzinski from The Elusive Grape for opening your doors on a Monday and providing such wonderful food and hospitality. We are so grateful for your continued support. And to the amazing Grape staff—thank you for taking such great care of all of us!

💙 Celebrating the Heart of Our Mission 💙
This past Saturday, we had the honor of hosting our annual Volunteer Appreciation Lunch—and what a beautiful celebration it was!
The Good Samaritan Clinic exists because of our volunteers. Their generosity, compassion, and dedication keep our doors open and our mission alive. This event is one small way we say thank you for the incredible impact they make every single day.
We gathered at Ford Hall at Northwest Square for an afternoon filled with great food, music, and gratitude. A special thank you to:
✨ The Rotary Club of Downtown DeLand for generously covering all food costs
✨ Derek Simonds Jr. for grilling delicious kabobs
✨ South of the South for the wonderful catered sides
✨ Sonny Reece for fantastic live music
✨ Taylor Hible for transporting the beautiful (and delicious!) cupcake bouquets and cake
We are also so grateful to those who helped make the day run smoothly—Martha, Janel, Natalie, Peggy, and also Rachel from Junior Service League—thank you for setting up, serving, and cleaning up with such care.
During the event, we proudly recognized many of our volunteers with Good Samaritan pins, local DeLand artwork, flowers, and acknowledgments of the hours they’ve given. Together, our volunteers contribute over $200,000 in labor each year—an extraordinary gift to our community.
We also celebrated some truly remarkable long-time volunteers:
