What a BEAUTIFUL day to spend at Lake Rebecca!☀️
Our picnic was the perfect way to spend our afternoon. We had a classic picnic meal of chicken salad sandwiches with fruit, chips, and a cookie. Our driver, Jose, was super helpful (as always) with our setup and clean up.
Although we brought bean bag toss, we were all content to just sit and bask in the sun. A few of our residents took the chance to walk around the park a bit, while the rest of us enjoyed the company of the other families at the park.🛝
Safe to say, we will definitely be returning to Lake Rebecca for a picnic in the future!🧺🥪💝

Happy Mother’s Day!!

We spent the last two days here at The Legacy celebrating the holiday with a tea party!
On Friday, we had the wonderful Jenna Steele, a community life director from Carver, sing live music for our Memory Care residents as they enjoyed hot tea, thumbprint cookies, and skewered pineapple. Our fancy hats made it all the more special! We followed up with a bible study honoring mothers in the Bible. A great way to spend our Friday!

Yesterday, with the help of some of our residents and a handful of amazing volunteers, we held a tea party for our assisted living residents. Planned by residents, this tea party had a lot of tea, a lot of food, and was a lot of fun! Earlier this week, residents got to decorate their own straw hats for the event— what a grand idea!

Thank you so much to Nancy G., a volunteer of ours who provided tea sets, gifts, and extra decorations to the residents. Your help is immensely appreciated!

Happy Mother’s Day again— to all of our mothers here at The Legacy and beyond. Cheers!

Happy Saturday! We spent the afternoon at the Delano High School watching their spring musical “Kiss Me, Kate” in the performing arts center! Our compliments to the multitudes of talent on the stage today— the acting, singing, dancing, tap dancing— it all was wonderful! Great job to the Delano High School Theater! 🎭

Happy National Pet Therapy Day!!🐾
Our morning started with a visit from ‘Golden Tails.’ We were so excited to invite Valorie and her dogs back! Valorie shared some general fun facts about dogs, where we found out one of our residents is a dog expert— she answered many of the questions quickly and correctly! Thank you to Valorie and her son for their time today. We love golden retrievers here at The Legacy!☀️
To end our day (after bingo, of course) our returning pet therapy team, Kris and Snickers, sat down with us, providing puppy love and wonderful discussions! We talked about the history of dog breeds and our own past pets. Snickers was as affectionate as ever! Snickers and Kris, you are always welcome!🐕‍🦺

Today we would like to take a moment to honor Linda our incredible administrative assistant.
Linda is truly the heart of our daily operations. Her dedication, organization, and warm presence help keep everything running smoothly and she does it all with a smile. 😊 Whether she’s assisting residents, supporting families or helping our team stay on track Linda goes above and beyond and everything she does.
We are so grateful for her hard work kindness, and commitment to our community.
