A lack of empathy toward others is almost always a lack of empathy toward oneself.

When someone is hard on their own humanity, they become hard on everyone else’s.
When a person is disconnected from their own pain, it becomes easy to dismiss someone else’s.
When compassion is refused inward, judgment becomes the default outward.

What’s your bedtime routine really look like tonight?
Are you helping your body recover, or just hoping it does?

☕️ Stop caffeine 10 hours before bed.

🍽️ Stop eating 3 hours before bed.

💻 Turn off screens 2 hours before bed.

🧘 Shift into calm 1 hour before bed — stretch, breathe, read, pray, or just sit in silence.

Remember: your body won’t release melatonin if you’re still staring at light before sleep.

That one habit alone can change your recovery, your focus, and your mood tomorrow.

A few of our crew couldn’t make it, but most of us were collaborating.

We’ve been in this work together for years. We’ve stretched, grown, laughed, cried, and led each other through a lot. And if there’s one thing we’ll always give you—it’s the truth. No fluff. No ego. Just straight talk and heart work.

There’s a Mother Teresa quote that says:
“Leave people better than you found them.”
And honestly? That’s the mission.

From firehouses to all of our other jobs that each one of us juggles—we carry that same intention:

What you put in—matters.
What you put out—matters just as much.

You can’t out-supplement a poor diet.
You can’t meditate your way out of physical neglect.
And you sure can’t numb your way into peace.

Sweat is a release.
Movement is medicine.
Food is fuel, not a fix.

Get honest:
Are you consuming life, or is it consuming you?

The ins and outs aren’t just about calories.
They’re about energy, emotion, effort, and ownership.

Move. Nourish. Release. Repeat.
Your well-being depends on it.
