Thanks to the Delaware County District Library for hosting us at multiple locations for Duckie Storytime! We loved bringing Waddles for song and dance, reading stories about our feathered friends and giving away toy prizes.

While our duck-themed Storytimes have ended for the season, the rubber duck fun is just beginning! Adopt a $5 rubber duck to support jobs for people with disabilities in Central Ohio and beyond!

This year, the funds raised from Zoom Duck Derby (www.duckrace.com/delaware) will help expand opportunities for skill-building within our workforce development programs. At Alpha, we foster independence and empower individuals to meet their employment goals. We know that a quality job in a kind and inclusive environment improves mental health, leads to financial stability, creates friendships, and provides a sense of purpose.

🤩Meet Shane! Shane is part of our Workforce Development program. He graduated from our Project SEARCH program at Nationwide Children's Hospital. This program allows high school students to participate in an additional year of training which centers exclusively around employment.

Now, Shane is a part-time courtesy clerk at Kroger. He shared, "I like my job collecting carts, gathering trash, and bagging groceries. It makes me happy and feel good when helping customers."

Once you quickly create a team, just send the link to your friends and family. Every duck adopted helps us fund workforce development programs for people with disabilities in 11 counties in Ohio.
We have two nice gift baskets for the duck teams who sell the most ducks!
